this is NOT from amazon. bought two, one very good, other broken. a major shambles trying to return it. Avoid this and buy elsewhere. these are made in CHINA so Coleman,s good name for quality may not be as good for this item. will now buy an official chinese made one cheaper. Save possible hassle buy elsewhere. sat 22 october. Amazon has accepted this and refunded the cost, I can't see why this has to be from the USA direct. Still thank you amazon for your honesty and fair dealing.

Compact and sturdy. I often use it in my farm. Perfect for outdoors as well as indoors. No issues even when exposed to rain. But wipe and dry once under roof. Placement of switch is great. Won't blind you when operating. I use rechargeable batteries, tested for 6 hrs continuous run. It worked well. Be cautious when closing the battery lid. Follow instructions manual to avoid any issues. Since it was import to India, I shelled out more bucks. But trust me, this Coleman lantern is perfect for outdoors and during power outage.

Very handful for my camping. The quality is very good. My son was make a mistake on the battery cover. It was stuck. I thought it is going to finish. But it still working fine. Very good!

Perfect lantern for what I needed in case power goes out. Love the 4 light modes and the 4th one is plenty bright enough to light up a room. In reference to those who say the battery cover is difficult to close and gets stuck so they can't remove it. The piece on the cover that slides into the lantern itself is not round, it's oblong with a pronounced point to slide into the compartment post. If you just jam the cover on without matching the slot you are creating your own problem. The post is visible in Fig. 2 of the instruction sheet showing it is not round but makes no mention of matching it to the tube on the battery cover. If something needs to be forced on, something is wrong so stop and take a look at the process first. However, Coleman should definitely make note of correctly matching the battery cover tube to the post in the lantern itself. It's just dumb not to on their part. Who would think that the posts are not round? A lot of people evidently. Coleman and Amazon could reduce a lot of returns and up the ratings if the correction was made.
