Sturdy but no mounting hardware or instructions
This is a well made owl box. It took some creative thinking to figure out how to hang it as only one side of the frame is flush with the roof. We used heavy duty outdoor hinges - one each on top and bottom. At the recommendation of our tree trimming service, we used 3 inch exterior screws and it is sturdy. W also added a perch from an old branch.

not real wood
In the photo the house shown is cedar the one I received is plywood, and I was not sure if pressure treated? I covered the house with sheets of copper to make it last or else by the time an owl finds this house it would be in the process of decomposing.

Description is deceiving!
Description makes it sound like it’s made of red western cedar I was disappointed when I opened it and found out it’s made of plywood and just the opening has a piece of cedar over it!

Sturdy, well built owl box -- good looking, too!
Sturdy and very well built, appreciated including the wood shavings (also well packaged) as a bonus to place in the bottom of the box. The shipping was faster than expected -- extra kudos there! Would definitely buy their products again!
