Helps with the pain
Bought these for my husband who has terrible arthritis in his toes- from freezing and breaking them as a child. He uses these both over and under socks and loves the feel- his toes don't hurt half as much when wearing these. I don't think there is ANYTHING that can take away all of the pain- but these make things better for him- ps when he wears them inside his socks he has the soft material on the inside- he doesn't like the feel of the gel on his feet- and they wash out very easily.
