Love this thing! Beats out the big boys where it matters
I've gone WAY too long without a cordless ratchet and been using a loud, slow mini bluepoint 1/4" air ratchet for years. Well this Makita improves my quality of life immensely! I felt so sure about it we played some "ratchet wars" at work and I put it up against someone's Snapon ratchet ( which costs about double). Well it did pretty good, and by good I mean it smoked the Snapon ratchet in a speed run! That's what makes this thing so great. It's lighter, faster, has similar torque and great battery life. It beats out all the other major brands where it matters most at a fraction of the price, not to mention the quick swappable 1/4" or 3/8" head you can't find anywhere else. If I had to criticize it, maybe offering a brushless motor and a long reach head option like the competition but other than that you just can't beat it especially for the price. Super happy, so much I find myself looking for reasons just to use it again!

Makes life so much easier!
If you're reading this, you probably already know this is one of the best you can get. You're probably looking at this or the Miluakee I'd bet. I haven't used the Miluakee but I've put this one though the test. Bye, bye socket wrench! Makes all my automotive jobs a breeze, especially any tear down. I use it to break the bolt if it's not torqued too much, and then zip it off once broken. This thing hasn't given up! Battery life has been better than expected too. I know people have complained about the direction change switch, and while it's not the greatest, maybe I don't need to change the direction all that much because it hasn't been that big of an inconvenience. I chose this one because of the longer handle so felt it would give me better torque for breaking bolts. That was purely what made me choose it over the competition.

Completely under rated tool!!!
What a great tool.!! I have all "red brand" "gasoline" line tools including the much higher priced ratchet by them, and I bought this as a second unit since it has a dual anvil feature, let me tell you this thing is awesome, smaller diameter girth, the head of the tool is also smaller, lighter, brighter light, dual anvil for 3/8 and 1/4, AND IT SPINS AT ALMOST 4 TIMES HIGHER RPM THEN MY RES BRAND ONE DOES.!! I did a complete engine reseal all gaskets and replaced the exhaust, replaced an alternator and a water pump and I still have 1 bar of battery left. I can't tell you how I regret buying that other more expensive one. Not to mention Makita has a good warranty that so far I've heard it is much easier to deal with then all the other brands. I'm getting another one just for my personal use at home. Go ahead buy it I promise you won't regret it and that is as honest of a review as I can give. I can't tell you I buy cheap tools to save money, i buy the best tool for the job I want it for regardless of the brand, Makita knocked it waaay out of the park here, totally happy

Fast and saves time
I just got this but I can already tell it’s going to be useful. Yeah already I have experienced a few larger bolts that it wouldn’t break free but the good thing is you can use it like a normal hand powered ratchet. I break the bolt loose then buzz it off it still saves a lot of time. I think people expect these little things to just break anything free without any effort on their part but the spec is only 35ft lbs of torque and a hand ratchet can easily get tighter than that is some cases. I think the real value of these kinds of tools is the time Saving and saving yourself from a lot of repetitive motion. Having the 3/8 and 1/4 anvils is a nice touch also. I might get the brushless one in the future and just use this one for 1/4” drive but so far it’s perfectly sufficient for my applications. If it can’t be broken with this my 3/8 impact will do it so no worries.

Good battery life
Love the battery life and fit in hand and the dual drive is handy but the reverse lever is a little flimsy and sometimes disengages with a little bump and is a little under powered for 3/8 inch drive use

One of my favorite tools, great for automotive hobbyists and pros alike
There is an 18v version of this tool that I wish I knew about, so if you have LXT batteries, get that one instead but I do love this tool, it's not going to breakaway lug nuts but if you need to zip through door panels, engine covers, valve covers, or just about any fastener using 3/8s, this is the perfect tool, while I do use the 1/4 chuck, this gets most things off and saves your wrist. it is great for starting bolts before torquing down.

If your gonna use it often at all this is worth the buy
Absolutely love this thing. I do not use my 3/8 impact anymore I should have bought one of these first. All I use anymore for disassembly is 1/2 impact, this ratchet, extra long handle flex head 3/8, and finally a 3/8 socket adapter in a 1/4 stubby flexhead body. Definitely having semi deep flexible sockets is killer for this thing and a Philips socket is a must! The batteries are stellar, from Makita as is always my experience with the exception to their stupid slide miter..... Back to battery the 2ah is nice for how light and small the 4ah is great though for unrestricted space it just runs and runs and runs.

Súper genial la bolsita.
Me encantó la herramienta y al comprar la versión con bolsa me hice de algo para llevar las demás herramientas.

Great Electric Ratchet!
I bought this over Snap-On and Milwaulkee because I really wanted the high-speed and lower torque. I also couldn't decide on 3/8 or 1/4 drive and with one has the interchangeable drive which is great! As it turns out, other than the "weird" ratchet reversing mechanism, it does exactly what I want. The nicest surprise is how well balanced it feels in your hand! The battery lasts a long time as well. So far, I love using it.

Battery impact
Not as good as I thought it would only good for small jobs for tightening 🙁
