Best product. Super fresh. Absolutely levels above what you can find in most stores now. Used to buy it from my local Fred Meyer and it’s been removed from the shelves for some reason. Still have Spice Island spices but no more garlic salt at all…

The salt itself is my favorite garlic salt of all time. As far as I can tell, the product hasn't changed recently. I'll buy it forever if I can. But gone are the days of the nice, distinctive Spice Island lids that are made of metal. Now you get a generic plastic lid with holes that are WAY too big for salt. They'd be fine for dry herbs, but for salt, holes this big will 100% ruin your dish if you use it like a normal salt shaker. Even if you're super-duper, ridiculously, mechanically careful I still think you'll dump 10 pounds of salt on your plate. My salt tolerance is very high, but there's no way this thing could ever dispense an appropriate amount. So save your old lids and tiny-holed plastic circles!

This is the only garlic salt you should use when making party mix. My brilliant sister-in-law told me so. It is no longer available locally, so we must order it from Amazon.

I grew up on spice Island spices. My mother rarely used any other in her kitchen and she was a fabulous cook. It’s worth the extra price you have to pay if that is the case. Also the onion salt doesn’t all jam up in the jar, if some steam Hits it while you’re cooking.
