This is my first purchase of a model plane. Does the plane come off of the display stand?

Yes. This is a fully assembled plane, there is no landing gear so if you remove the stand you can't display the model very well---

Nice little jet

Nice model, well built and beautiful detail. A little larger than I was expecting, as compared to similar products from Corgi. Would be nice to be able to rotate the plane on its stand but unfortunately it's rectangular, meaning it can only slot in 1 way.
