Black Magic makes great stuff. Nothing out of order.

Use it all the time. Small reference monitor with a lot of extra features, including the recording.

Great monitor. Some had issues with turning on with just battery power. Mine was one. After some back and forth with BMD the issue was resolved (no pun intended). It was repaired, but another problem popped up. The unit was subsequently replaced, and has been working well. The image is great. It's bright. It records to SD cards. It can be used as a webcam. I also have the 7" version. The BMD Video Assists are great monitors. BMD support is solid. Yes, I'd recommend.

Blackmagic Video Assist 12G is a great video recorder. I'm recording in 6K BRAW with my Panasonic S5, and Samsung T5 drives. The reorder firmware was up to date, and the packaging was excellent.

Used with Nikon Z6 camera output Blackmagic Raw. Work very well.

Does what it says it does. Sucks batteries big time!

BRAW and the 2000+ Nita of brightness makes this recorder the best on the market!

Moniteur de très bonne qualité. L'achat vient avant tout du fait de pouvoir enregistrer au format BRAW sur mes appareils LUMIX ce qui donne une plus grande polyvalence en post production sur l'étalonnage dans DaVinci Resolve Studio! On retrouve les outils de monitoring nécessaires, fausse couleurs, waveform etc. Bref un must have si l'on veut du Braw sur un appareil compatible.

This monitor delivers pretty, reliable and consistent results. We use it for the Nikon Z6 to record 10-bit N-Log, for which the product is perfect. We also use it as a monitor for the BMPCC 4K, and though there is a certain mismatch between the BMPCC's in-built LCD and the VA's, this is not something unbearable. Just keep in mind, that above 2000 unit of brightness, the unit is prone to heat up, resulting in a need to switch off for some time. I wholeheartedly could recommend this product. PS: it is certainly not color-perfect, but it is not it's main goal in my understanding - however, the scopes are super reliable, just as you expect from BM products.
