My grandson (22 months) was so excited to see it. I really like the storage box too. The figurines are quite good (though not quite proportional in size). The Zoo mat is nice, but the trees are pretty light so they have a hard time standing straight.

We purchased it for my daughter 3 year olds, daycare class. The kids loved it, it's held up well for being used daily with ten kids. She did say the trees broke within the first week. I had a feeling that would happen when we checked out the contents the day it arrived. The trees are very cheesy and obviously cheaply made but the animals and the mat we great.

The animals in this are great, the trees come apart sometimes but easy to go back together. The felt mat I was really looking forward to but it’s like clown meets zoo and some of the animals are not even on the mat.

My grandson loved this, even more after our first trip together to the zoo!

I was a bit worried after reading some of the reviews. Perhaps the manufacturer has improved the produce since the other reviews, but I just received my kit (on sale so I paid less) and am pleased with my purchase. The animals are a litle smaller than I expected, but not too small. The zoo pad is felt and seems to be of good quality. All my animals stand up without problem as do the trees, except one, and I think if I bend it a bit it will be fine. I don't notice any sex organs on the animals and if there are extremely small and blended in. I doubt anyone would notice. Overall I'm pleased with the purchase and I believe my 3 year old grandson will be too.

I ordered this for my young granddaughters since they like going to the zoo. Although I like the bright, colorful mat, the plastic animals and trees do not stand up well on the mat. The trees are very lightweight and do not stand up at all. The animals feel heavy enough, but some of them don't want to stand up.To make the trees stand up, I glued them to a small block of wood which fixed the issue. I may have to do the same thing with the animals. The storage container for this set is made of flimsy plastic which I do not foresee lasting very long. I give this set a 3-star rating because my granddaughters enjoy playing with it despite the lack of quality.

The animals are really good quality and they are large. My grandson loves them I got them for his birthday! The playmate is much nicer than expected.
