I am ordering this set for a second time because we have lost some of the hair nets after 2 full years of weekly ballet classes. My daughter has long, thick, curly hair and it is tough to keep her hair in her ballet bun. This pack cost less than buying the three pack of 'name brand' hair nets, and in my experience, these hair nets are stretchier and less likely to break than the leading ballet bun brand. Thanks to the price and quantity included in this set, it is no big deal if one breaks, and it is easy to have plenty of back-ups in our dance bag.The pins included are fine, but we don't really use them. I do recommend buying the name brand 2- to 3-inch bun pins, especially if you / your child has thick and long hair. However, this product is completely worth it just for the hair nets.

Bought for my daughter in balletThe nets work great for bun flyaways - the pins work, but would definitely be better for an adult than child, as they are large. I don’t use the hair ties at all - they’re very thick with a plastic connector, and not functional for us. I would say they would only work for someone with a lot/very thick hair

These hairnets work great, and there are a LOT of them for this price, however these are for REDHEADS. The color does not match the description at all. This worked great for my strawberry blond ballerina, but I ordered them for my blonde-ish daughter and they were orange on her. Just a heads up!

I am new to the "ballet mom" world. I have two girls ages 4 & 5. They both have super long hair. I watched a YouTube video on how to make a ballet bun. It was so much help. But after watching I realized that I didn't have the right tools for the job! Having this ballet bun kit is a God send! The pins are a game changer, they are durable and long enough to hold all day. The hair nets are a nice touch at the end and keep their bun in place quite well! We ordered black for their dark hair color and you can't even tell they have the nets on! This is a great purchase! Highly recommend the product! (Don't forget to watch a tutorial online that will coach you through how to do a beautiful ballet bun on your own- it helps so much)

This is the perfect set that has all you need to make a dance recital bun. Purchased this set for my daughter's first dance recital. She is 5 years old. It comes with plenty hair nets, hair pins, and elastics. The elastics are sturdy and able to hold my daughter's hair up in a pony tail. The hair pins are shaped to hold the bun in place. The opening is large to use for buns. Note that they will not hold stray hair. The hair pins are for the buns only. Next you put the hair net over the bun and you will need to loop it several times so that it is tight on the bun and not loose. I used a lot of hair gel as I brushed my daughter's hair in a pony tail. When the bun was done, I added some hairspray for the stray hairs. I highly recommend this set so that you don't need to buy the items separately.

Not sure why they have contrasting color Bobby pins and bands. I just gave them to a dancer with dark hair. My daughter has dirty blonde hair and these nets are a little orange/yellow. Not recommended for competition but for daily ballet classes….these are a bargain. I took the advice of another dance mom….if you slick the hair back into a pony with gel and spray… 1 or two pony tail holders. Then put the ponytail into the net. The net will stretch down my daughters hair length is mid back..not sure this would work with longer hair. Then just twist and pin into a bun. You’re done! So easy
