Cook n home 10 pc Stainless Cookware
I tried each pan for the magnet inductive stove top that I use. Grandson prefers the little one qt bowl, which he heated some canned soup. It did not burn , even though I used a higher heat than normal. I did not need to scrub anything. It has a 10 inch frying pan, 1 qt pot, 2 qt pot, 3 qt kettle, 5 qt kettle. The bottom is very thick for even cooking. I have not seen a higher quality cookware that would compare. The sizes are for small family cooking. A bigger frying pan might be nice. But I have one. I am very pleased with the quality of cookware & the quick shipment, UPS was running day & night this week, possibly back logged, but I got mine fast. I love My Duxtop magnetic inductive stoves, no raging heat burning me, the energy savings is applied to faster cooking, but once the water boils, you can reduce the cooking temperature to #1. Water boils at 212 deg, at Altitude of 2000 feet, 208 degrees. No matter how much more heat you can add to it, the water will not get any hotter, it will just boil over. In that case, you would need a pressure cooker, but warn me when you cook, I need time to run. I saw a 12 piece set without insulated handles, but I got a good bargain, even if the insulated handles are not necessary on a magnetic induction stove. I tried porcelain steel pots, they are good, but if you overheat, the porcelain will crack & chip, I have a regular steel pan, it is great for frying, but it rusts faster than cast iron. Cast iron is good, but very heavy, it takes time to heat up, but great for people that cook on high. So CooknHome has won my heart, it is light enough to warm up quickly, with even heat, easy to clean, & the stainless is thick enough, you do not need to worry about wearing out the finish. I use the magnetic inductive stove tops, for safety & Efficiency. They will not set grease on fire, grease burns at 500 deg, the stove shuts down at 400 deg. I can cook eggs at 300 watts, I can boil water at 1500 watts, & none of the heat comes around the pan to burn my arms. If I make a mess while cooking, I can lift the pot & wipe it off, nothing can get caught below the cooking pot. The stove top only gets as hot as the pan warming it.

these pans versus farberware and cuisinart tri ply pans.
I wish I could put more than 5 stars. These are the kind of pans I have been looking for, for a veryyyy long time. I don't do nonstick pans for safety reasons. I only use stainless steel and have used cusinart tri ply pans as well as farberware. I did not like the cuisinart ones, the farberware were a better choice until I found these. They are perfect, I could not ask for anything more to make them so. I love the lids that sit down inside the pot, the cuisinarts lids sit on top so things can overflow and when you take them off, things splatter at you. The farberware sits down inside but not even as well as these. Now the farberware doesnt have glass lids, these do as well as a hole in the lid to let steam escape, neither the farberware or the cuisnart have that either. Also, these have silicone handles and on the lids, neither of the other two have that as well. These pans are pretty much nonstick even though they don't have that coating and are stainless steel, I made rice in one of the pans first thing and nothing stuck.. They clean up and shine up like brand new. I can't really believe how lucky I am with these to find a perfect pan set. The price is unbelieveable for what you get as well. Only downfall of course is they are made in china but then everything is I guess. I have been cooking for over 45 years and I love these pans. I think you could not go wrong in my view.

GREAT VALUE FOR THE PRICE AND TOP QUALITY
Ok. . .took a chance on this set. I am not used to cooking with anything other than non-stick, but needed stainless for my new glass cooktop and only found a couple of stainless sets that were also non-stick, but for twice (or more) the price of this set. I read the reviews, I researched cooking with stainless, followed the advice of a couple of other people who suggested Barkeeper's Friend for cleaning (and the manufacturer also suggests it), and let me tell you. . . this may be the nicest set of cookware I have ever purchased at this price point. I've been using it for about 6 weeks now - daily - and every pot and pan looks brand new. If you decide to purchase them, buy Barkeeper's Friend - it literally makes them look brand new every time you wash them, and it takes very very little to get that result. Cooking in this set is awesome - great heat distribution, easy to lift/handle, perfect weight. Really, it's a great set and great value. . . .much better than anything you could find in a store for the same price and it's a healthier way to cook too! Just do a little research first like I did. I'm very picky, I'm an eternal skeptic. . . and I am so glad that I took a chance and ordered this set!

Like 'em a lot
At the price I paid, I didn't have very high expectations for this stainless cookware set. But when I received the set, I was impressed how well made they were. Nice, thick bottoms and sturdy handles. The mirrored surface gives them a nicely polished look and the insulated handles help keep the handles comfortable to hold, although if you've got a raging boil job going on with a lot of hot steam pumping out of the pot, the lid handle can get a little toasty. All the pots are ideal sizes for my purpose, although the large stock pot is smaller than what I'm used to, but I have a larger, older stock pot to use for those extra serious occasions. One problem I've encountered in the past with non-stick stainless steel pots is that maddening issue of food sticking to the bottom. Hate it. That's kept me from even considering buying stainless still pots in the past. But they do last a long, LONG time and they don't leach any questionable chemicals into the food, so I decided to take a chance on this set. So far I've only cooked food with some amount of liquids in these pots, but I've been surprised how nothing sticks to the bottom. I only set the temp up high at first to get the food kicking a bit, but then cut back to a low temp the rest of the way. The trick with stainless steel is to cook at a lower temp and have some amount of liquid in there. Crank that puppy up and cook dry and you've got a good recipe for food sticking to the pan. Edit (May 1, 2019): After three years of using the pots, they're still in good condition without food sticking to the bottom. However, I've subtracted a star because the rubber insulation on one of the pot's handle came off, and it was on one of the pots we don't use often. Other than that, we've been satisfied with these pots.

Good Basic Cookware
Like most Amazon users, I look at the overall average rating, then read the worst reviews. My conclusion with this product was that some of those reviews were just expecting too much. Any cookware set is simply not going to remain pristine with a mirror-like finish if you use it regularly. I've used this set for months now and it has always come clean in the dishwasher, and has even heat distribution. Is there some discoloration to the steel? Well, of course there is - you're heating steel and using it to cook after all. (As with non-stick cookware, I've learned the hard way to never set my burner on its highest setting. Not only is it unnecessary, but it magnifies the chance of damage occurring.) Bottom line, this is a solid cookware set with good heat-resistant pan and lid handles and has lasted for several months of constant use now. I am quite pleased with the wear and performance without having to shell out more money for higher end cookware. If you're debating stainless steel vs non-stick, I'll say the former will last longer, requires less mollycoddling, and sometimes you want your meat to stick in order to create fond - release that with a little liquid and you've got pure flavor. You don't get that with non-stick surfaces.

Great pans at a good price
These are some of the best pots and pans I've ever gotten, and the price was great. The company was thoughtful in the design and size because you'll find that it's not your typical pan set. The sizes are excellent as they are practical and the size we've so often wished other pans were for the jobs. The smallest pot (1 qt) is very useful for the minimal cooking that one often has to use a much bigger size for. The casserole and stock pots are great, and again, we're impressed with the sizes--not too much, not too little. The glass lids are a must have. Food cooks evenly. Let the pans cool before washing (I handwash all of them) and you'll maintain the shine. We've used them for a few months. The 10" frying pan is the go-to frying pan now. The handles are firm--although we wish they weren't black. Kitchens have modernized and black is old-school. Many, many kitchens are white and it would be great to have other colors. But the set is so impressive. Have spent lots of dollars on more expensive pans and these are comparable if not better in a few cases. Not to mention the weight of these is more convenient than some pans that in my opinion are unecessarily heavy. All around, a great and convenient cookware set.

High quality, fantastic stainless set
I enjoy the variety of pan sizes in this cookware set. They have other sets if you need other variations. Heats very fast and evenly on medium heat. Do NOT use high heat and It states this in the instructions. Medium is all you need, even for boiling water. You will ruine your pans on high heat. I have a glass cooktop. Heat pan first then add your oil. Its all in the instructions. VERY pleased with ease of cooking, clean up and the overall quality of this affordable stainless steel cookware set!
