Good Quality Bike
The media could not be loaded. ********UPDATE********I’ve had the bike for 9 months now, and riding 20+ miles everyday. Everything is in working order except the negative plug connector on the ebike that connects to the battery had a melt down. I called and got a response and remedied the problem.Sohoo honors his product, guaranteed 1 year warranty.First of all, I am in no way related, paid, or working with the company of this bicycle. What I have posted is strictly my own experience with this bike.ProsVery sturdy, Responsive electric motor, Good quality matrials, and Fast.ConsWould be great if it had turn signals and mirrors. But if need be, I could always find them at a local store or here on Amazon.5 ride modes. As you pedal the bicycle the electric motor kicks in and will increase your speed to the default highest speed for that given mode. For example: Mode 1 top speed 12 mph, Mode 2 top speed 14.2 mph, and so on, with a top speed of 25.2 mph in mode 5. I'm 230 lbs, so if you're lighter than that you may get a faster speed output. So if you're pedaling and you don't want to increase your speed with the electric motor kicking on, just stop pedaling for a moment. The nice thing about this bike is that you don't have to over exert yourself, say if you're at a stop sign..... regardless of what mode you're in, just use the throttle and you're off and running in electric mode. The throttle is at your whim anytime you're on the bike.My personal setting is mode 2 and 7th gear. So as I'm riding there will be a little resistance on the pedals. The bike is a 7-speed. As long as the electric motor is engaged, the lower gears will offer little to no resistance when pedalling. If you turn off the pedal assist mode, the gears will offer more resistance. If you live on a hill or would like to walk your bike, you can manually push it yourself or goto Mode 1 and throttle it on and off quickly.NOTE:When you receive the bike, you will need to record the serial number on your manual that comes with the bike. So if it were stolen, you'd have the serial number as a reference. The serial number is located on the stem of the front fork, under the "P" logo. The serial number is not the one located on the battery pack.****Update****The actual mileage of this bike's battery are as follows:48v 12Ah = 576 whWatt Hours (wh) Factors in the voltage and the Amp hours together and determines how far the e-bike will travel on a full charge.Mode 1 = 576/12 = 48 milesBattery cuts off power at 20%20% = 9.6 milesActual battery life on full charge is 38 Miles.I'm only posting this info because my battery shut down while I still had two bars on my LCD unit.

Great bike in the price range.
First and foremost, let me say that it's nice to buy a bike and not immediately replace the seat. This is a Chinese bike. It is not high dollar, and this review is in that context. I have the 500W version, and it is a little light on power. I weight 175 lbs and it struggles to get me up the steeper hills, but it gets there. Overall though, I'm not unhappy with the power it provides, and higher wattage motors translate directly to less battery life, so I don't consider this comment a complaint per se...just an observation to help others select what might be right for them. The good: Seat is top notch, folding mechanism is sturdy and secure, and the included brake light is in fact at the rear of the luggage rack, not strapped to the seat post...to me this was great news. Also it does inicate braking. Headlight is pretty dim but will let people know you're there. I purchased an aftermarket light for added visibility when needed. The bad: This is a pretty heavy bike, but I suppose that's how it works when you add a motor and battery, but it's also a bit awkward when folded - it is floppy and not secure. This makes it difficult to pick up and carry or load into a car. Some bungee straps help keep it under control...but keep reading. The ugly: When folded, the brake mechanisms bump into each other, and the frame hits, which causes damage. I 3D printed some bumpers to keep things from getting smashed, protect the paint, and allow me to strap the folded bike into something a little more secure and easier to handle without destroying it - it was crazy cheap and easy to do and this should have come with the bike.Overall, very happy with the purchase, for the price it is pretty solid, and does everything I need it to do.

Happy with purchase
I bought this ebike for the versatility of being able to ride on the beach, offroad and also to do some touring - with the bonus that it folds in half.It was easy to assemble as it came mostly assembled. It's just a matter of removing the spacer bar where the front tire goes, putting on the front tire, front fender, headlight, seat, tail light and pedals. Make sure you request the assembly video if they don't send it to you, it is quite helpful.Overall it works well and I am very happy with the purchase. I can ride it over loose sand, but it is a little squirrely and wouldn't work too well for long distances.. but the medium packed is fun to blast around in and hard packed sand is great, overall it rides excellent on the beach especially near the shoreline.I bought what I hope is a more comfortable seat to replace the one it came with, the one I got to replace has shock absorbers built in and has good reviews. The seat it came with is perfectly comfortable for short or medium length rides, and I found going for more than 20 or 30 minutes was not bad either but could be better. The acceleration on the first PAS speed is pretty quick and goes a bit fast at 12mph, which is ok for some situations like riding on streets. But if you want to ride any slower, you are limited to using the throttle. There are ways to make some adjustments with the controller and I haven't tested them all yet, but it would be nice to be able to customize more PAS modes for riding at slower speeds than 12 mph and quickly go back into normal mode. Unfortunately all of the modes except "ECO" are disabled on the controller (including "WALK" mode it seems, though the instructions say WALK mode should work).I was worried after doing some research that the 20" tires just wouldn't do well on downhill trails that have rocks and obstacles and such. I was pleasantly surprised at how well it handles downhill trails. It's definitely not going to perform on the level of a good full suspension mountain bike, but I found that getting down trails where you have to weave through and over rocks to work pretty well with the wide tires and the front suspension.I would say the issue with moderately difficult trails with more obstacles is going uphill. With a mountain bike it is easy be slow and precise and change your speed quickly, but with the motor on this bike it is difficult to adjust speed going up hill, and going over rocks and obstacles becomes more of a challenge. However, going uphill on flatter trails is of course going to be much, much easier.
