HIDBEA Frosted Glass Window Privacy Film,Static Cling 35.4 in x 8.2 ft

I recently installed the HIDBEA Frosted Window Privacy Film on my front door, and I couldn't be happier with the results. If you are looking for an effective way to balance natural light with home privacy, this is a fantastic choice. Stress-Free Installation: As someone who usually dreads DIY projects involving adhesives, the static cling design was a game-changer. It was incredibly easy to reposition during the process, and since there’s no glue, there’s zero sticky mess to worry about. Instant Curb Appeal: It looks clean and professional. It transformed the look of my front entryway, giving it a modern, etched-glass appearance that looks much more expensive than it actually is. Excellent Heat & UV Control: The difference in temperature is noticeable. It does a great job of blocking the harsh midday sun and reducing glare without making the interior feel dark or cave-like. Total Privacy: It provides the perfect level of "frosted" coverage. I no longer have to worry about people seeing directly into the house, yet I still get to enjoy soft, diffused sunlight throughout the day.

Works great! Easy to use and it keeps noises neighbors from seeing in my house.

Let's start with the good. The product application is very easy and straightforward. The film does a great job blocking sunlight and providing privacy. My windows are Southern facing so the room gets pretty warm during the day. I only applied to the lower portion of the window pane. The bad. The protective film is hard as heck to remove. I used many techniques on multiple corners. It is important to note that the the film is *not* sticky, it uses static cling technology so there is no residue.

I tried following the directions... BUT then I decided to do it my way. So, in case it helps- I spread out the roll on the table and taped it down so it could flatten and hopefully not roll up as soon as I untaped it. Then I took cheap terrible colored construction paper no one had used for years and taped it onto the strange- shaped windows (not a lot of straight lines on these) and after I had a very colorful window I took that stencil and put it on top of the unrolled window frost and used a pencil to trace on it. Then I cut it to size. I think it worked better that way. But of course, to each their own. After we had it on the window, following directions on cleaning the window first and all that, there were a few bubbles showing along edges, and a few spots of not sticking on the very edges. But really, not bad considering it was a roll so it curled a bit. Maybe I should have kept it taped to the table longer first. Even on spots where it didn't stick, it didn't curl all the way off, you can just tell the edges aren't stuck to the window all the way. Now, from the outside, at night you can tell lights are on, maybe see shadow of fan/light, but no details of in the house, the frost works. Another plus is not getting the glaring sun in the morning, it was pretty severe, now much better.

To be honest, I was very skeptical about putting this film on my windows. I previously had 1” shutters on the lower half of this 3 window set. They had yellowed in places over the years, had broken pieces, were hard to keep clean, and constantly allowed bugs and cobwebs to collect behind them. The shutter brackets also prevented me from being able to use the tilt sash feature on the windows which was aggravating. I knew I needed to get something else on these windows!! This product was extremely durable and easy to work with. After the first window, the process was a breeze. I recommend doing your most inconspicuous window first to work out any issues. My biggest issue was that I didn’t have a super sharp utility blade to cut the excess. I fixed that before I proceeded to the next window, and things went much smoother. I love that this application gives me the privacy that is needed, yet allows enough light for my plants. I think it looks cleaner, more contemporary, and opens up the area without having those busy, clumsy shutters there. And let’s be honest…..this is a heck of a lot cheaper than other window coverings. I also like that this is not permanent. Once dried it is very secure though. Time will tell how it withstands cleaning etc. All in all, this is a WIN WIN for me! Just for FYI: I used the ‘frosted’ film. It was the right choice for me. I think the white would have been too opaque and I didn’t want the busy-ness of the design ones

Product just as described perfect privacy easy to install and customize to your windows

Based upon prior reviews, I obviously did not receive the same product. I applied the film as instructed and prior to me finding it on the floor the next day, did not see any indication that this film was providing privacy on my window. After applying it, I thought perhaps it would frost or provide some type of shield to prevent on lookers, but it did not and also did not adhere to the window. Application was easy, but that is the only positive thing I found. Perhaps the people who rated this product received something different, but I cannot recommend purchasing this product.

It was slightly difficult to apply and hardnto cut.. No matter how much you squeegee, water is still trapped underneath and is giving a splotchy look. I thought this might go away after a couple days, but the water underneath still has not dried and the spots where I tried to dry it underneath won't stick. One window is worse than the other. Edit: I took the film off and dried excess water. Cleaned the windows again. Don't know how long it will stick, but it took hours to do 3 windows. The third pic is the windows with excess water cleaned Second edit: it actually looks great. Found that you have to make sure it's not too wet and that there shouldn't be any droplets on the window prior to putting film on. Update: parts are not sticking and are coming down days later. Have to constantly wet it and it looks splotchy. I will see as the weeks come, how this will stay up. Edit: The splotches dried and the windows look nice again. I learned that the water will eventually dry. For the price it's nice. Once again, I will see if it will stay. Edit: a couple of weeks later and it is still up! I've had to re-wet certain parts to make them stick. But it looks good and is staying up for the most part. Would but again! Edit: one month in and they fall off and you have to re-spray them with water maybe once per week. Would still purchase

My Bedroom windows have clear brown glass so, This was a best decision I have made. I have followed all the instructions. It was easy. 1. Make a soapy water in a spray bottle. 2. A sharp cutter, Scissors ✂️ measuring tape, and a credit/Bank card type strong Card, tissue paper, Job will be 10 times easier if you have someone to help but one man also can do the job. Clean the glass/window perfectly. Then take the measurements and cut the size with some extra inch.then remove the adhesive sheet from the Film.now spray soapy water on window and the film then paste it on the glass.remove all the bubbles with help of Bank card, and from the edges extra sheet should be removed by the cutter. Since it will be wet so keep it like this for 8-10 hours. It will be set strongly by that time. The process is more like , as you get your car window glass tinted. Thanks, it's cost effective than Roller blind or curtain. Also, my windows looking really elegant.

Let 2 people do it, just easier. Looks stylish , let's through a lot of light, private , and best part, just peels off if you don't need it anymore. No mess. Follow the instructions on the roll.
