Courage

Like millions of other Celine fans, I have been waiting with baited breath for this album to be released. I had it on pre-order as I know Celine never let's me down. How right was I?? This album is brilliant! excellent! fantastic! and certainly courageous! I have seen Celine in Vegas quite a few times and always loved her performances, and yet, there was something missing..... I know exactly what it was, I felt she needed more freedom to express herself and do something new, and now we have it! There are songs on here that I have no choice but to keep them on repeat, they are THAT good!! To name a few: Look at us now - fantastic soulful vocals Baby - great beat, addictive and sing along Lying Down - rousing Courage - emotional and delivered as only Celine can Heart of Glass - emotive How did you get here - 'bluesy' and deep Change my mind - unusual backing and 'hip hop' chorus, but Celine delivers For the lover that I lost - haunting The hard way - gospel vibe and fantastic vocals from Celine Yes, there is a theme to the tracks, love, loss, rediscovery, anticipation...........but they are certainly not 'samey'. Every one is a gem and I bow to Celine and her team for trying something new with writers and producers out of the ordinary! Don't hesitate - BUY IT NOW!

What an amazing achievement! Celine has been guided and mentored by Rene (for her entire career) since she was 14 years old and she is now 51. This is her first album EVER without his guidance and input. It’s an incredible achievement and an amazing album. Must have taken a lot of courage for her to record this. Celine has resisted the temptation to do ‘more of the same’ and has embraced contemporary material and writers. I have had to listen to the album a good few times to appreciate how she has grown. I am a huge fan of the power ballad so loved ‘Lying Down’ on first hearing, many of the others have taken more time to grow on me. Just look at the titles of the songs to realise that Rene is still present and is the thread that runs through every track. Thank you Celine for another opportunity to listen to your amazing voice. 16 tracks also, far better value than most artists offer. Thank you for doing what you do best. X

I'm a life long Celine fan so have been after this album since it came out. I can safely say that it did not disappoint at all in fact I think I now love this amazing woman even more! I have to say that you can really hear and feel the emotion in Celine's voice which is what she does effortlessly, her voice has always been amazing but I now think it's absolutely incredible. There is honestly not one bad song, a good mixture of fast and slow. But my personal favourites are: Lying Down, Baby, Imperfections, Perfect Goodbye, Heart Of Glass (only on deluxe edition), Courage, Lovers Never Die, Change My Mind, The Hard Way, Boundaries (both The Hard Way and Boundaries from deluxe edition), How Did You Get Here & Flying On My Own. Long may you reign Queen Celine, love you so very much x

Wasn't sure what to expect with this one but it's actually ok. I think the best way I can describe the album is that it's a bit like reading a diary of Celine's life over the last year.

Im really happy i order this cd everything is okay.

I bought this for my mum (for what would have been her girlfriend’s Birthday) she sadly passed away! When she was in hospital she had this cd in her cd player she listened to it so much! unfortunately the cd was lost when mum collected her belongings! So I searched on Amazon and was so happy I could get it for her! This was her favourite cd so it was an amazing gift, mum was soo happy and cried bless her. Great quality, would definitely recommend.

From the opening track on this album you get a sense that this is a new direction for Celine Dion. With its punchy beats it is essentially a dance track and this theme continues throughout the rest of the album. It is a little disappointing as Celine's beautiful voice sometimes gets lost. All in all it is okay and certainly has some high points but this is not Celine at her best.

Nach so langer Zeit endlich mal wieder eine CD in englischer Sprache von Celine Dion. Ich habe mich so darauf gefreut und das Werk natürlich gleich bestellt. Und ich bin rundum begeistert. Nach ein-, zweimal hören hat man die Songs bereits im Ohr. Es ist kein Titel dabei, der mir gar nicht gefällt. Es sind sowohl langsame, gefühlvolle Balladen, als auch schnellere Songs enthalten. Für jeden etwas dabei, der Celine Dion mag. Für mich immer noch eine der schönsten Frauenstimmen der Welt. Sie hat mal wieder bewiesen, dass sie es immer noch kann, auch nach so vielen Jahren im Showgeschäft. Mit dieser CD macht man nichts falsch. Ein tolles Werk (ich habe die Deluxe Edition), 5 Sterne. Meine Lieblingslieder sind: "Flying on my own" und "For the lover that I lost"

A great album and with the song Soul not released In Europe

L’album in se è potente per il messaggio che lancia e che rappresenta. Rinascita interiore e coraggio nell’affrontare le avversità della vita. Si è evoluta, è cambiata. Si è anche un po’ rinnovata, il che lo rende un album piacevole. Tra le migliori canzoni Flyn on my own, imperfections, courage, boundaries.. e spettacolare LYING DOWN con ft di Sia. Voce perfetta, potente, limpida e diretta come sempre! Voto 10 per l’impegno che quest’artista mette nel suo lavoro. 17 anni di residence a Las Vegas, 3 figli, la morte del marito e ancora non si ferma, ma anzi si ritrova e riparte con più forza di prima. Bellissimo esempio per tutti. Grande Celine! Una diva d’altri tempi.

Excellent album. Ceux qui le critique ne l'ont pas vraiment écouté. Je dirais que c'est l'album de l'affranchissement... avec notamment une chanson signée David Guetta. Moins sirupeux que ses précédents albums, il comporte de belles balades qui sont tout sauf lisses et des chansons plus rythmées. On ne s'ennuie jamais et il n'y a pas de mauvaises surprises. Sa voix est toujours aussi belle, puissante, variée et chaleureuse. On y assiste à une belle évolution vocale et rythmique. Tres bien produit et réalisé, l'album merite une grande carrière. Je le recommande vivement.On en a pour son argent Celine Dion vole gracieusement de ses propres ailes desormais.
