One gallon five mil thick Mylar bags from ShieldPro
The bags were shipped in a padded envelope. Inside were the bags, inside a plastic bag, tied with a ribbon. The bags seem to be well made. Seams are all consistent and perfect. Using a clothes iron set to high, these bags sealed up nicely. I will purchase again.

These are good bags.
These are quality bags. Exactly what I needed for my long term food storage supply. I put two 300cc oxygen absorbers per bag hoping that gives it just a little more life span. I easily sealed them with an clothes iron and got about 4 to 5 pound of rice or beans in each bag. Thanks

They work!
The kid in me couldn’t wait to start using these! I used three pouches and sealed white rice and quinoa with a 500cc oxygen absorber (sold separately). I used a vacuum sealer without the vacuum part, just the heat strip, to seal them (while pushing out as much air as I could) and within 24 hours, they looked vacuum sealed. They definitely work and seem durable.

I like the thickness of these mylar bags as far as ...
I like the thickness of these mylar bags as far as protecting food long-term, however, I've not had the best of luck with my FoodSaver (premium edition) being able to suck the air out and completely seal the bags 100% of the time. I think it's because these mylar bags are 5 mil not 3.5. But I'm not willing to give up the extra protection this thicker bag gives me, so I first seal my items (smaller quantity sizes, not the large 5 gal) in the actual FoodSaver bags and then again in these mylar bags. I know... but it's for long-term! Don't want to open them up years from now and have any regrets.

I purchased this product to package some of the food items I was taking with me on an airplane to another country. These bags are strong and easy to heat seal even with a hair straightener or clothes iron. very satisfied and would recommend and purchase again.

Works Well.
I've been using 1 gallon Mylar to vacuum pack rice, beans. etc. I chose 5ml and I'm happy I did. I use a hair straight iron to seal and a regular vacuum cleaner hose and attachment to suck the air out. I use 1 Oxy-Sorb and these bags become bricks. I'll buy again along with 5 gl bags and more Oxy-Sorbs. I had 3 bags malfunction, could've been my mistake. There's a learning curve.

Doesn’t hold 1 GALLON
The product is advertised as “1 GALLON” Mylar bags. This is my first time using this type of thing. 1 gallon brings to mind a milk jug size, which is what I was looking for. These bags will hold maybe 4-5 cups! Quality seems good, but don’t get these if you are looking to store large quantities.
