High quality product. Good for chow fun, etc.
Overall, this is quite a high quality rice noodle, very resilient texture, silky and bouncy. Perfect for home use to make stir fried chow fun. However, it is not very delicate -thicker than i would prefer, but its thickness also lends itself to be easier to use as it wont fall apart as easily if it were more delicate! Only con is that it does stick together, quite a few pieces need to be forcefully pulled apart so, it is a bit finicky. While i believe the Four Elephants brand is superior to this brand if youre looking for a truly authentic product in ‘fun’ noodles in all of the above issues, this is still a perfectly good product.

Essential food product for me
I'm sensitive to gluten in wheat, so I have had to avoid eating spaghetti which I love. Once I discovered the Taste of Thai Rice Noodles, I was happy again. I add them to soups, casseroles and other recipes, too. I find them to be delicious and tastier than wheat products.

Excellent price for this product
Flavor is great. I had thought they were going to be a little softer and clearer (they're a bit thicker than I expected), but these work really well with stir-fry -- add a little sesame oil and soy sauce or even better, Bragg Liquid Aminos, and you have a delicious meal! Would buy again.

Crazy about Chow Fun!
My whole family--especially the eight-year-old--loves these wide rice noodles (chow fun). They are not easy to find outside of a Chinese market, so buying in bulk is a good idea. I love the mouth-feel of rice noodles anyway, and wide is just that much more fun. Plus, they are not flimsy (like rice vermicelli), so are easy to stir-fry. I use a simple Cantonese style, with some soy sauce, some oyster sauce, and a little beef stock. Be sure to use plenty of oil when you stir-fry, as the noodles do absorb it. But your dish will be so beautiful, it's so worth it. Lastly, if you are on a no-gluten diet, you are gonna go ga-ga over these! The directions on the package for presoaking are good--but instead of warm tap water (which has more lead in it from the pipes!) use cold water and warm it in the microwave. Be sure your noodle container is large enough so that the noodles won't stick to each other too much (and you will have to stir from time to time--again, to keep them from sticking). If you have to do something else, you can store the partially softened, drained noodles in the fridge--they'll be fine when you get back. Then saute as usual. Serve quickly so that the noodles don't get mushy. Voila! A fabulous and easy meal with minimal work (just a little advance effort).

OMG LOVE THESE NOODLES!
What rock have I been hiding under all these years? A very large one I guess because I've never cooked or tasted these rice noodles until I recently bought these. My husband and especially the CHEF (ME) love Asian dishes and I own 3 woks that I use regularly but have NEVER used or bought rice noodles of any kind. Oh, I have that obligatory spider web of dried noodles in a package that I bought decades ago in the health food store and never cooked, but other wise we have mostly always eaten various types of rice with our stir fries. Boy, have things changed in our house since I ordered these in to cook with. Super YUM! We both love these and I won't let my supply of these vanish from my pantry shelves. One tip, if you've never cooked with these, is to put the amount you think you will use into a large flat pan, casserole - give them plenty of room to soak and pour very hot water over to cover for at least 30 minutes. Just before you are ready for them, run your fingers through the noodles and pull apart any that have stuck together, swirl around and then drain in a strainer. Add to your stir fry at the end of cooking and stir a couple of times so the noodles get warmed up and covered with any sauce. Eat and enjoy!

What size is it?
The package says "vermicelli angel hair". Vermicelli is a size larger than angel hair, can't be both. However, it turns out to be angel hair size. What I wanted was vermicelli size noodles. The noodles are very good though. I wouldn't buy again because of the size of noodle. I know that this brand does make vermicelli sized rice noodle. This wasn't it.
