OKUMA Reels Surf 8K Spinning 5Bb+1Rb 4.7:1, Multicolor, One Size

Abused this reel and I cant say enough good things. It has held up perfect and it out performs most penns I have. Holds a lot of line and casts smooth. Drag is easy to work, nice adjustments, decent amount of drag to fight big fish. Reel size is perfect for an 8k. Overall im pretty happy with this reel.

my wife and I use these reels for crab snaring on the oregon coast, they help us cast further and reel smooth and fast with ease, even when we have 2-3 dungeness snared!

In My Penn squadron 3 12ft work great bait go far whith not much effort. Great Price. I use Hércules braid 80lb.

Fit for purpose. Works quite well pulling in heavy fish and sharks. Very smooth operation. Drag is perfect. Clicker is loud. Casting is perfect.i paired it with a 15’ Super Panther rod and use it for pier fishing. Caught my PB redfish, shark, as well as PB catfish so it has a lot of uses.

PROs..A quality reel for the price. Smooth, precise anti reverse, strong drag, long casting, high capacity line ( I spooled it with 65lb braid, it held 300 yds) CONs.. handle and reel support at seat flex a little while reeling and fighting fish, also not a sealed reel. It costs 100 bucks so it's not high end but it does perform! 1st day using it I caught this 5ft shark in high surf and rip current, it performed amazingly well. No problems, drag worked great. Best reel ever for 100 bucks. Happy in TEXAS! I gave it 4 stars because of the handle and support minor flex.

Reel cast great, major draw back is the flex. Reeling in a rig with 6oz wait and it flexes and wobbles. I would recommend not to buy, look at Tusnami reels, much better quality.
