Best Tape Measure I’ve ever owned! I use it constantly and I love that it doesn’t automatically retract. You have to push a retract button to retract it which is very helpful when you pull it to a certain length, if you have to pull more out it stays in place for you to do that! I also love how long it is. Additionally it just feels good in your hands, holding it, the smooth glide of pulling the tape out, and the retraction doesn’t snap back it’s a smooth lie back in.

Last year my 25-ft tape died after many years of use. The replacement didn't even last a year. This one feels like it will last many years of use. I like the locking mechanism. The markings are easy to read. Well worth the cost.

Best measuring tape available and the button makes retraction easier than the switch, needs less force than the conventional method and you can stop the retraction at any length. 10/10 would recommend to anyone

Good tape measure for the price

Pretty solid tape measure. -1 star do to the way it locks. It'll hold its place regardless if the lock is on or off. When the lock is on, the tape will not move even if you try to pull it. When it's off, it will hold its place but you can still move it with the slightest pressure. I'd rather have it just lock when I wanna lock it and be unlocked when I unlock it. The body of it feels solid. It is a hard plastic that seems durable, I have dropped it a few times and I didn't notice any damage on it. The tape quality also seems pretty solid, it can hold for (what I think is) a long distance before it snaps on itself. The tape is yellow, wide and easy to read. The retraction speed isn't insanely fast, but not super slow, pretty in the middle speed wise.

When I entered my upper 40's I lost my visual ability to see things close up. I bought 6 pair of reading glasses and stashed them all over the house. Well I just received this tape measure for my 50th birthday and now I want to stash 6 of these all over the house. I have several tape measures of various brands, styles and age. Previously my favorite was a 25' Komelon self-lock but it had standard measurements on one side of the tape and metric on the other. I've already established that I can't see things that are not at least arm's length away and the Komelon tape was hard to read. I liked that the tape automatically stayed out w/o having to be locked with a lever but I did not like that it would continue to let out tape if I held on to the tape at 1" and let the body fall from the top of a ladder. This Craftsman corrects everything I did not like about the Komelon and has an added benefit I did not know I needed (wanted). This is a 25' tape with standard measurements only. (The 26' has both). It will not recoil the tape until I summon it and I can lock it even more securely so I can lower the body as far as I want to a certain distance without it falling all the way to the floor or uncoiling to the 25' mark. The added benefit is that the tape is white. I had no idea it would be so much easier to read than yellow. Every inch is marked in black on the top of the tape and every eighth increment is marked in red at the bottom of the tape. Stud references are marked in a red block every 16". I loved it so much I bought a second one at 25' and one at 16'. I want to buy about 10 more and use them for stocking stuffers in a few months. If I could give it 10 stars, I would. I am completely satisfied with this purchase and I highly recommend the product Somewhere in 2025 this started to be manufactured with a yellow tape. I still give it five stars but I am disappointed in changing the color of the tape. I found the white tape to be easier to read

The item does what the tin says. It is small, it is portable, and it measures stuff. Very good item for the use I put it through. Has survived small drops out of pocket. Measuring desks and spaces between things? Great. Measuring household furniture to get moved and placed? Great. Build a house? Do not know, and will not be testing. Very happy with it so far.
