BG Climbing - Belay Glasses for Rock Climbing

These glasses are compact and easy to carry, fitting snugly into my climbing gear bag. They come with a protective case, ensuring they remain in excellent condition while not in use.

First belay glasses so I wanted something on the cheaper side. From what I can tell price does not reflect quality on this one! Very clear glass and solid build. Fits really well on my big dome. Doesn't pinch my nose or ears feels very comfortable. Fairy light nut I'm not sure how it holds up against others. GIves me a clear view without having to crank my neck. Cones with a solid case, strap to hang them around your neck and microfiber cloth to clean. Carabiner that comes on it is super cheap though, I replaced mine with something better so it doesn't fall of my harness.

I wore these belay glasses for 3.5 years of once-weekly climbing (~180 climbs) before one of the temples finally snapped. Over the years I lost two screws, so I’d recommend using Loctite (or another threadlocker) to keep them secure. The glasses come with extra screws, though, so losing one isn’t a disaster. They were comfortable, gave my neck a break, and probably saved my eyes from plenty of falling chalk. The carrying case was also surprisingly well designed - it even has a little pouch for the cleaning cloth and extra screws. Great value for the money, IMO. Great gift for a climber in your life, or a gift idea for yourself if you have a friend looking to buy you something. I’m now trying a $70 pair from REI whose case *doesn’t* include a spot for the cleaning cloth. We’ll see whether they last 3× as long...

Love this especially when your the person on the ground belaying your kid.. lol my neck would start to hurt from taking him to climbing gyms and thesekeep me from. Having to constantly look up at him. I'm so ready to put them to iuse.use. .comes it a nice zipper case and strap. Fits nice adult and middle age kids Great quality

Works well and as intended. The coating on the frame helps minimize slipping while wearing and makes the glasses more comfortable to wear.

Work as they should. Comes with a cloth to clean them and extra screws for repair if needed. Have a nice adjustable band to keep them in place. Works great and the price is even better than some of the other options available. They weigh basically nothing. So far they look nice and you can see very clearly. They’re pretty comfortable mine a still a little tight but I’m sure they’ll loosen up with time like normal glasses. Seem pretty sturdy to me also.

These are a useful purchase, and while the price is practical, the quality is still all there. We've climbed for years without and thought we'd try them out, and we aren't disappointed. They take a second to get used to, but that's all really... they work perfectly and help alleviate some of the neck strain of belaying. They are easy to put on and take off, so I can have them around my neck to decide whether to use them throughout a belay. If there are better quality versions, I don't know if I'd notice or care. I'd recommend these and appreciate having them as an option.

When you start climbing you may think these glasses are ridiculous. After few days you will feel the pain in your neck. Make you a favour and get these. You will look ridiculous, but will have no pain and will enjoy the belaying.

Die Brille funktioniert wie zu erwarten, man kann beim Sichern eines Kletterers bequem nach Oben sehen, ohne einen steifen Nacken zu bekommen. Vor allem bei hohen Kletterrouten sehr zu empfehlen. Praktisch dabei, die Brille an an einem Band um den Hals gehängt werden, damit sie nicht verloren geht. Das Brillenetuis macht den Transport einfacher und passt obendrein gut an den Klettergurt.
