I used to buy Aunt Jemima, now Pearl Milling Co. waffle and pancake mix but I noticed it was starting to get silly expensive. Like, it's just flour and sugar and maybe a bit of baking powder guys, not Bolivian marching powder...Anyway. This stuff makes pancakes and waffles that are just as nice as anything before and you're getting about four times more in volume for your money. For posterity, I'll paste my recipe for waffles below which you can expand and change for your own requirements. Highly recommended by me.--------------------------------------------Switch the waffle maker on about 10 minutes before you want to use it. The hotter the better.Ingredients:120g waffle/pancake mixture (I use Krusteaz® Buttermilk Pancake Mix for sheer value for money)175ml milk (I often use 100ml milk and 75ml of double cream for extra luxury)(NB. for healthier waffles, just use 175ml of water instead)35ml of vegetable oil1 eggMix all the above to a decent consistency but don't overmix.Set mixture aside for about 5 minutes to settle.Spray/spread a bit of vegetable oil on the top and bottom griddle.Pour and spread the batter until the waffle maker's 'teeth' are about to disappear. Don't overfill. Leave it so you can still see the top of the 'teeth'.Close the lid and leave for approx 4 minutes. That's usually enough cooking time but experiment to your own preference. The waffle will rise during cooking but leave it be and don't be tempted to push the lid down. In my experience, this just shoots the uncooked batter out of the side and makes a mess.Serve and enjoy. Add sugar / pancake syrup / maple syrup / scoop of ice-cream...the world is your oyster. Or waffle.--------------------------------------------Enjoy this review? The "just add water" approach makes breakfast stress-free, especially on busy mornings when I don’t have time to measure out lots of ingredients. The resealable 4.53kg pouch is a massive bonus – it keeps everything fresh and makes storage tidy and practical.The pancakes themselves turn out fluffy with a nice light buttermilk flavour. They cook evenly and rise well in the pan, whether I'm using a non-stick frying pan or a griddle. I’ve also used this mix as a base for other recipes, like adding fruit or spices, and it holds up nicely. It’s versatile enough for both everyday breakfasts and the occasional treat brunch.While it’s a great bulk buy, I do wish there was a gluten-free version or that it catered to more dietary needs. It contains wheat, soy, and a small amount of buttermilk, so not suitable for everyone. That said, if you can enjoy it, it’s fantastic value for money and an excellent pantry staple for families or anyone who enjoys a reliable pancake mix.

If you like pancakes get some. I usually use milk to mix. Make your own consistency up. Runny for thin pancakes. Thick for fluffy ones. You can use water instead of milk and they still taste good.

Fantastic! The bag is huge! So Easy to make the pancakes and they taste amazing. The waffles are great also. I love how fast I can make breakfast or as a snack for my teenage boys. I like adding chocolate chips and cinnamon. Highly recommend.
