Amazing
I had no idea what these were going to taste like. They taste like nothing else on earth and the flavor of them raw changes as you chew a few of them. Crazy cool secret ingredient.

Peppercorns
I reordered these Sichuan Peppercorns because these peppercorns enhance the taste of my cooking and the price is affordable. I used 10 - 15 peppercorns in all types of meats: steak, chicken, and porks especially lamb chops to enhance the meat flavors. Use it in cooking and you will love the outcome of the dishes,

Lowest Possible Quality (bait & switch)
Item: Sichuan Peppercorns, 4 oz (Seller: TastePadThai)Rating: 1/5 (poor)I’ve done hundreds of purchase-verified reviews here on amazon over the past 20 years, and I can count the number of 1 star reviews I’ve posted on the fingers of 2 hands, which for me is very rare, and out of all those I’ve never before been so utterly dissatisfied that I’ve thrown something straight into the garbage (after taking a pic). Without exaggeration these were the LOWEST quality Sichuan peppercorns I’ve ever seen, much less squandering money on, and I’ve uploaded a photo to prove it. Zoom the photo and look all those INEDIBLE seeds, twigs, thorns, debris, and even fragments of trash (see the piece of green plastic bag ?) ... the quality is nowhere even near what’s seen in the product photo on amazon. The product barely had any aroma either. Classic example of bait and switch quality.I could stop there, but since I’m genuinely annoyed let’s look even closer - zoom the photo again, ignore the debris for a moment, and look at just the pods (the part we actually pay for), and you’ll see evidence that they weren’t even picked at optimal ripeness. How can you tell ? Because they’re all undersized, and as a result many didn’t properly split open during drying to release their seeds. It literally looks like some yutz decided to get an early jump on the season, processed this mess in their driveway using only a rake, push broom and a tarp, and then bagged directly with no further cleanup. In fact, the quality is so poor, and contains so much inedible debris, that IMO it wasn’t even worth picking over ... I dumped it straight into the garbage.Bottom line: SAVE YOUR MONEY, because if you’re looking for the good stuff, this is about as far away as you can get from it.

Hooked to Szechuan peppers ...
Since I know this spice I am impressed by its taste and versatility of use. My favorite application is adding taste to tea. ... but there are a lot more. These peppers are normaly quite pricy and I feel that this offer provides excellent value for money. Maybe there is better, but it definitely suits my tastbuds.

could be better
The flavor is pretty basic, but not as flavorful as other peppercorns that I've purchased in the past. I live in an area where asian markets are not nearby so I thought I'd just order some off amazon, but I regret it. I paid more than I normally would at the market for a lesser quality item. I don't hate it, but also don't love it.
