Excellent watch - few small niggles
Iโve been using this watch for a few months now so feel I can give a decent overview. Itโs very light which feels a bit โwrongโ to start off with but has been damage free so far. Iโm quite tough on watches as Iโm right handed and wear my watch on my right wrist. Most of my watches have been scratched or damaged due to this but this one has survived well so far. I bought this to stay within the Garmin ecosystem. I already use Garmin bike computers, lights and radar so it seemed sensible to just have one app to look after all my fitness stats. The app itself is very good and tells you everything you need to know. Only 2 negatives for app and watch: 1. App has nowhere to add blood pressure. Very odd as most other health/fitness related stats can be added. 2. Bluetooth connectivity of app and watch is unreliable at best. The watch shows as connected to my phone but then does not sync with app. Work around a include turning off bluetooth on phone and app and re starting or going into the pair phone menu on the watch. Bit frustrating but I can put up with it due to all the good points. The watch is also almost a dark brown rather than black/grey. I quite like it but others may not!!

I love the look of this watch
It's beautiful, AND it's functional.. What else do you want??? I get at least three mentions a month about my watch like 'hey nice watch' and then BOOM I show them it's digital and they are in awe. I don't know I just love this watch

I love this watch
I love this watch it looks fantastic I would give it 5 stars but the touch responsivity just isn't where I would expect a ยฃ200+ product ๐โโ๏ธ the app is great and the charge lasts me about 3 days with sleep tracking โ๏ธ

Great fitness watch
Really like the look of this watch. It is light weight and comfortable to wear. Functionality is great and gives me everything I need to measure activity / fitness. Good integration with my iPhone like the being able to play and pause music playing from Spotify on my iPhone which is tucked away in a pouch. I did try a watch using Watch OS, but far too much complication. I would recommend this watch.

Good and bad aspects
Works well for walk tracking with 'connected GPS' i.e. using your phone. I like that you can still see the time during an activity which you can't with other Garmin models. Looks are OK but could be improved with less minimal dial, non reflective crystal and a crown or pushers. Garmin Connect app is superb. The bad is that the touchscreen is awkward to use, it works great for swiping but single presses are intermittent making it really frustrating at times. The oled screen is impossible to read outside on a bright day even on max brightness. The Strength Training app is not very useful because you can't upload workouts to it (unlike other models) and so the recognition is just rubbish. Overall, this could be a fantastic watch with a few design improvements: pushers for selecting options, improved watchface with non-reflective glass and better display for outdoors i.e. transflective or much brighter oled. The strength training app could be fixed with software only.

Half-baked Product
I was really excited to have the combination of analog watch with an (almost) full screen. Itโs a nicely made piece of hardware but once you use it and get to know itโs quirks the experience starts to suffer. I also find the app a lot less useful than those of Fitbit or Withings, it could really do with a redesign. Overall, at this price, it canโt justify the shortfalls for me. Issues I encountered: - Hard to wake up with double tap, often doesnโt react - Touch Screen not very responsive, sometimes accesses a menu instead of swiping to next screen - Battery life only about 2.5 days if you use the Pulse Ox during sleep tracking (and thatโs without doing any workouts with GPS) - On the second day the watch forgot the position of the watch arms and calibration didnโt work, had to reset and set up from scratch - Sleep Tracking canโt distinguish if Iโm asleep or lying in bed using my phone (wore it together with my old Fitbit Charge 2 and the latter correctly identified when I woke up while the Garmin still showed me asleep 30min after I had woken up) - You can tell the app that Monday should be first day of the week but the watch complications will continue to show Sunday as first day of the week - Hard to tell the time in the dark from analog arms (you can show the time on one of the digital screens but then have less space to show heart rate, steps or other metrics) - Presentation of data in the app way behind that of FitBit or Withings, not much fun to explore and slow to navigate (loads of loading pauses, repeated pop ups, not using screen estate...)

Premessa 3: L'ho comprato venduto e spedito da Amazon a โฌ316. Cosa deve avere un orologio Smart secondo me? Tutte queste informazioni sono riportate nello schermo inferiore, sullo schermo superiore invece si puรฒ visualizzare sempre lo in quale zona cardiaca ci troviamo + frequenza cardiaca in tempo reale, indicata dalle lancette fisiche dell'orologio come un tachimetro (vedi foto).

The watch I've been waiting for?
I was a Fitbit user for years. Not a daily runner or athlete, so have been satisfied with the Fitbit app and tracking. Have not been happy with the quality or appearance of their devices. Add in the data slurping Google buy-out and the arrival of the next vivomove meant it was time to move on (well, and my ugly Ionic breaking, again). My review is based on my priorities for the device which are watch first, tracker second, and smart device last. As a watch I love it. I love the clean and simple style. I love that's it not a chunky/heavy slab on my wrist. It's surprisingly small actually. The face and body are almost perfect for my tastes, and being made of aluminum makes it half the weight of the stainless steel models. The minute hand silently ticks every 10 seconds. Now for the bad. The strap itself is ugly, stiff, and just all around crap. I expected that though, and planned to order some watch straps. I wasn't expecting just how bad it is though. It has zero give, so it either cuts in to your skin since it so thin and stiff, or it just dangles and slips. I have smaller wrists and only have 2 holes left in the strap, so it seems short. If buying this model (nylon strap) I would highly recommend buying some 20mm straps at the same time. The only real (unexpected) disappointment for me is the white tipped hands. I assumed they would be visible in the dark, but they are not. It's difficult to read in minimal darkness without activating the display. Since I'm not interested in wasting space by having a digital watch on top of an analog watch, I've set it so that my 2nd widget displayed when swiping is the clock/battery level. Not something I am happy about, but it seems a compromise for easiest way to check the time in the dark. As a tracker I am still getting used to it. I have only had it a few days. It definitely seems to be either less sensitive or more accurate than the Fitbit. It logs less steps in a day, but right now I'm assuming that is just because the Fitbit tended to log some hand movements. I like the app, but it will definitely take some getting used to coming from the Fitbit. I would like to see more customizable goal tracking included (weight management, calorie intake, distance, etc.), but I may just not have found those features yet. I love the calendar piece. I wish that could be exported/synced to a private xcal though. The HR monitor seems equivalent to the Fitbit. I have not yet used the website. As a smart watch it works fine. I don't want interactive features (such as replying to texts/emails or answering phone calls). For me, I mainly want to see notifications. Half the alerts I get I need to know about but don't need to respond to immediately so my phone can stay in my pocket or I don't have to exit media/game apps. My only current issue is that it won't let me setup Garmin Pay. The app says it is connected, but then when I try to setup Garmin Pay it says not connected. I'll have to contact support to see what's going on. Other than a few minor details, so far I am pleased with the device. Again, I haven't had it long so my opinion may change based on things like customer support or durability. The daily "please write a review" emails from Garmin are a bit annoying though. UPDATE: OK, after rebooting my phone the Garmin app setup Garmin Pay no problems. One of the things I was concerned about was the glass. The more expensive models have the Sapphire glass and I wasn't sure if I was going to regret not paying for it. So far I have bumped into enough things to think I'll be OK. My Fitbit Ionic was scratched on day 1, and seemed to acquire a new scratch weekly. So far my Garmin glass looks brand new. I have noticed that the auto activity detect is not nearly as accurate as the Ionic. I've had it start and stop anywhere from 30 seconds to 12 minutes after the schedule (detect after 10 minutes). Was testing this for a week on a treadmill, so it was very regular movement which should have increased it's detection accuracy. At this point I don't rely on auto activities at all. Minor annoyance, but probably should be starting/stopping manually anyway. The biggest complaint I've had so far is that it was VERY insensitive to double-taps on the watch face to wake it. I usually have to double-tap two or three times. SUPER annoying. I dealt with it for a month before finally contacting support (who were fantastic BTW). A reset seemed to resolve the insensitivity, and I was happy. Until after I customized the appearance and the issue returned. Anyway, got it narrowed down to the weather complication. I had that set on the top. When I switched to the day/date complication on the top the double-tap began to work on the first try again. Submitted the issue to support, so hopefully resolved in the future. At this point I'm just glad to have found the problem and gotten it working better using a different complication. I really liked the appearance when I first got the watch and it has only grown on me since. Definitely satisfied with the purchase. Upping from 4 to 5 stars. Now I just hope it lasts longer than the 1 to 2 year average of my previous Fitbit devices.

Really impressed
I think most people who say the heart rate sensor or the connected gps aren't accurate probably don't use it or wear it properly. Or maybe they didn't adjust the settings properly... I've used 4 high end Garmin watches so far and from my experience, the Vivomove is as accurate as an activity tracker can be. The features on this watch totally blew my mind. The oled display is gorgeous, deep blacks, sharp and bright. Battery life and charging time are really good. I saw in another review that it felt cheaply made... I really don't understand. It actually feels very high quality. The case is entirely made of aluminium and it definitely feels like so, and not like cheap plastic. The nylon band looks great and is so tightly woven that you just can't soak it wet. The only thing I would have liked is that it would have a saphire glass like the luxe but I feel like gorilla glass will be fine enough. To be honest I would probably not complain if the luxe had gorilla glass too. Also, maybe you've heard that you can't see time on it in the dark. Well... tap on the screen twice and you'll see it.

Battery life and sleep tracking are great
After ordering the new Garmin Fenix 6 I was really excited, but had to see that this is a great piece of hardware (man I liked it as a watch just as my Omega) but found out that the GPS accuracy is really bad compared to an iPhone and the UI is form the 90s with the 5 button menu, a guessing around. Returned it. So 90% of people have their phone with them, for them GPS watches are not necessary at all. What we need is a simple displaying device which uses the smartphone capabilities. Due to these tests I found out that the iPhone's offline capabilities with apps like alltrails, viewranger or MTB project are so accurate and fun, great for hiking, city exploring and MTB. I also tested the ugly Apple Watch which didn't display the maps from Viewranger once you leave your home wifi, only the gray grid is visible. Disappointing as well. So bottom line I found the Garmin vivomove is a great, beautifully designed, very light fitness watch which you can wear to a black tie event since it looks like a real watch especially with all the metal band options available (standard 20mm quick exchange). Accurate heart-rate, sleep tracking, move reminders, water intake tracking and more ... and the right smartphone extension for notifications - 5 stars. Apple should have made such device long time ago.

Some drawbacks but worth it to me
Looks very stylish. Send to be accurate run tracking. Sleep tracking looks good too, however it failed to pick up on a day sleep I had during the holidays, and one night where I tossed and turned and woke up every 30 mins thought I had the best sleep. Was unable to set up custom activities eg run 1k walk 30 seconds for intervals. Would recommend, don't regret purchase.
