Great speakers for the money
Like most reviews about products on amazon people tend to show their ignorance. If the output or volume is low its because your input is too low, you can either use an amp or simply bypass the transformer. I'm using the speakers for a home theater system and trying not to put a lot of cash into it. That's why these speakers were great. I bypassed the transformer and the 5.1 surround Panasonic home theater system that I got on here for $133 has plenty of power for them. I bought 3 sets (FNT R-C-L REAR R-S-L) the home theater has a self adjusting equalizer that takes care of any feedback you would have with other systems. It improved the sound, looks of my living room, and property value.

so give them a try. good sound, not great bass, but acceptable. easy installation. appearance is just ok, you can install with big or small hole in ceiling

Poor Output from these Speakers
This product is poor and the output from these speakers is so low that you can hardly hear anything coming from them. I want to return them!

8 inch Pyle Ceiling speakers
Well for the price I paid for I guess I shouldn't expect much. bought 3pairs & install them for background music at a restaurant. and, I wasn't so happy for what I'm hearing. it sounded distorted and, the wires that they used has no markings for negative or positive. so take a guess!!!

They work. You can hear sound. Doesn't do anything special they are cheap speakers for a cheap price but they are reliable.

Great for young kids
I bought two for our two preschool grandchildren and they absolutely love them. They use them for magnet boards to play on. Their mom has a clean refrigerator again! The price was great, especially since I was able to use a coupon provided when I purchased two. The quality and conscience of pack and go is also a big factor. Well made.

Don't buy too many!
Great price for the quality. Just beware that there are two per box. I didn't see that in the ad and bought too many.
