Every cook should have one.
This colander is perfect for draining water from spaghetti for two or three, or smaller food portions to drain. I received it in good condition, nicely wrapped and boxed. It is pretty, the handle is rubber-silicon type of material that wraps the handle, it feels good in my hands. One thing I will caution another buyer, to make sure wash the rim under the curvature, on the outside, because when I first washed it, a black metal residue came off on my paper towel as I was drying the colander. Then it was fine, no more residue coming off. I highly recommend doing it to avoid that residue getting on your food. Other than that I love my pretty “handy dandy,” hand held stainless steel colander. I highly recommend this product.

Convenient little colander, but
I like the design overall, and the size of this colander too. The rim of this colander is made of partially rolled stainless steel. The design leaves a void underneath the rim that can easily harbor water or food remnants. The rim should be stamped metal with no void. So, when you wash it and then place it to dry, leave it upright, so any water will drain out of that area under the rim, or hand-dry it. With Chinese stainless steel, it’s only a matter of time until it discolors or rusts.

Small Stainless Steel Colander Strainer
I love this smaller size stainless steel all metal colander strainer. It is so easy to use and comes in handy when you need to strain a small amount of pasta and don't want to lug out the bigger strainer. Also, pasta doesn't strain well in a mesh strainer -- it gunks up the mesh and takes a lot more to clean. I have been looking for a good stainless steel small strainer for a long time. I was so happy to find this one. It is the perfect size for so many food items. This strainer is very well made with rubber on the metal handles for easier grip. This strainer is also a great price. Every kitchen needs this size of a metal strainer.

Handy Strainer
Positive: Just the right size for draining almost anything. Thin spaghetti doesn't slip through. Average weight...light but strong. Dishwasher safe in top rack. I would recommend.Negative: When you take it out of the dishwasher be sure to wipe the excess water that collects under the curved top rim. Also, wash it well when you get it. There is a charcoal like film that gets on your paper towel when you wash and wipe it for the first time. (You cannot see this film when just looking at the strainer). Maybe oil is used for drilling the holes? I don't know, just hand wash well with soapy water the first time then it will be just fine through many dishwasher washings.I just bought a second one of these!!! It's strong and it lasts. Wash in dishwasher on top rack. Had my first for about a year or so and it looks like new. PS- That charcoal like film that was under the rim is gone. All is perfect! Item looks just like photo in ad.

Love It
This Stainless Steel Perforated Metal Colander Strainer with Long Red Handle is wonderful! Works better than a colander because you don't have to set it down to pour the pasta or whatever you are straining. It's light enough to hold by the handle but very sturdy and nice looking implement. Just remember to hold it low in the sink because the perforations come all the way up the sides so the liquid will squirt you!

Excellent!.
Excellent!. I recommend it, I bought it because I had had others without rivets and they broke, this one is simply excellent, light and at the same time very strong.

Fine Colander, but could be better
It's OK, but has a few design weaknesses. This is one of those products that fails on one key detail, no front loop that allows you to rest the colander in a pan/bowl/prep sink to let the contents drain. I understood this when I ordered, but hoped the little lip would work as a rest - it does not, the colander with contents is really not stable enough to rise your draining food to fall back into the water. The other issue is drying - the folded lip collects water so you will never have a dry colander to put back without towel drying or emptying the lip and letting it air dry longer. There were really not any other SS colander this handy size, so it may be the only option.
