The information is good, but it’s too small to even read! I suppose if you traveled with it while antiquing then it perfect to throw in a bag or purse for a quick reference guide look up, be sure to have strong reading glasses with you.

This book may be useful for experienced antique collectors but it is difficult to understand for general knowledge. I understand there are thousands upon thousands of marks but I could not find one identifying mark. The book is about one-third silver.

If you need to research and want to step away from your computer, get the book. These days, I am buying many antique and vintage items, and I want to study them. That way, when I find something, I already know what it is and what era it came from. As convenient as a cell phone is, it is nice to already have the knowledge you need without drawing attention to yourself.

I like the full context of information of any kind of makers marks. Since my compsny is focused on recycled jewelry snd the selling of vintage jewelry, I was expecting the book to focus primarily on jewelers/makers symbols. The information, in the whole, is great for people who collect vintage items.
