The book is very helpful

Most of the bad reviews I think are from people that were frustrated in trying to use the book. If you know the name of the manufacturer, first go to the index. It will show you on which page and which box the makers mark is shown. Some manufacturer's have 12 makers marks and you have to flip to 12 different pages, but once you understand that the book is also designed so that you can find the makers mark by shape or letters, you understand why they are all over the place. The book has a LOT more makers marks than any other reference book I have. It really is a wonderful reference book once you understand how to use it.

I enjoy hitting up auctions and estate sales looking for "treasures" and I have a pretty good idea about what I am looking for and what things are worth, but this book has taken my collecting to a new level. This book contains every mark I have looked up and it gives detailed information about the location and date of manufacture. Anyone out there that collects pottery or porcelain should own this book!
