Absolutely worth every penny awesome customer service
I've been looking at infrared saunas for a while and they're all around 1500 2000 some 2,500 and they're huge and. You got this big wood box then you got to put it someplace and then i started looking at these portable units I came across this portable one for 300 bucks it took me about 20 minutes to set it up which was fairly easy a little hard stretching the tent around the poles but that's a good thing once you get it together you'd see why that it's got a nice snug tight fit I read some of the reviews on it and people were complaining how it took a long time to heat up this or that it was a bunch of BS I set that thing at 104° and when I first turned it on it was at 68 and it only took about 15 minutes and it was already up to 104 I sat in that thing man did that feel good for probably about 12 minutes and I was just soaking wet sweat and then I hit the off button and slowly open the tent to introduce some outside air to slowly cool down sit there for a while because you are really tired and boy does it feel good all your muscles and aches and pains they just seem to just disappear then walk out of it get straight in the shower rinse off a little bit and it was the best night sleep I've had in a long time it gets rid of all the toxins and dirt and everything else that gets clogged in your pores and it's got a very good health benefit to it I found myself using this thing four to five times a week they say not to but I actually got addicted to the health benefits from it and the good night's sleep and I had it for 3 months and then one day I go to plug it in and nothing happened no light came on or anything it just quit working so I called up the customer service guys and wow within 3 days I had an answer I explained to him what happened and they sent me a whole brand new sauna the control board looks like it was faulty in there and kind of got fried in there and burnt up so I only needed a small part but they sent me a whole brand new sauna I haven't seen that kind of customer service in a long time if you have a place near a bathroom or anything like that whatever you're living conditions are like and you got room for it and you're thinking about a sauna don't even think about it anymore that's why I say never bathroom is I have it in my living room in the corner which I have plenty of room and I just grab it by the outside and it just slides so easily right across the carpet it just Glides and I plug it in at Outlet near the bathroom and rotate it so the door is facing the bathroom about 2 ft away so that way when I'm getting out of the thing I'm. Naked I can walk straight into the bathroom and shower up because you're soaking wet you just sweat it out a lot of toxins and what else gets clogged up in your pores and i can tell you if you're thinking of a sauna it will be the best 300 bucks that you spent. In a long time

Awesome! Better than expected.
LOVE it! We changed gyms a year ago and I no longer have access to a sauna and this portable sauna is phenomenal! I looked at others with steam and had concerns about mold and being able to keep it clean. I prefer this infrared one and I start pouring sweat almost immediately. It gets super hot and much better than the upscale gym dry sauna I was using.

You will sweat.
It comes put together with the seat. Everything was pretty simple. I plugged it in and turned it on. The first time in it only reached about 120. I tried it a second time and it did reach the 140 as advertised. The zippers feel like they are not going to last very long. The stitching overall on this was not the greatest. It has several stiches that were already torn with threads pulled opening the box. This thing does work, and you will break a sweat in about 20 minutes.

Worth it
I bought mines Nov of 2022 and it still works amazing. Super durable material. My only advice is to make sure you wipe down the foot pad once you’re done and take out the chair and floor padding to air out

Very disappointing and discouraging
We selected the IR unit. The instructions are a series of drawings, there are no words. The set-up process is cumbersome; the cartoon drawings are challenging to interpret. My husband set it up; he's an engineer. Set up is a two-person task. The chair is said to be comfortable. It is not. I am a 5'3" flexible, smallish woman; it is not comfortable. I replaced the chair after one session. The video says to sit back and relax. It is not possible. If you prefer to straighten your legs, you need to consider a something different. It is not physically possible to lean back OR straighten your legs; doing both is out of the question. While in the unit, I sit up straight with feet flat on the floor, similar to the model in the video. My shoulders barely clear the back wall and my toes are about an inch from the front wall. Once set up, the unit heated promptly and maintained the temperature as set; the remote works splendidly. For the detox benefits, spending 20-30 minutes is tolerable. Do not expect to be seated comfortably. This paragraph was written shortly after installing the sauna. The following paragraph was written after several weeks of use. After about six weeks of use, our enthusiasm is cooling. After several weeks use, we both noticed the sauna was not reaching target temp. Temps were progressively falling lower and lower, session over session. The exterior walls felt very warm leading us to conclude heat was escaping. We added insulated batting between the heating units and interior walls. This seemed to improve things. Temporarily. After several weeks of watching the temps continue to slip, little by little, we added batting to the back wall. Typically, I plug it in about 10-15 prior to my session. I use it after I work out, it is in the gym, which is toasty warm by then. Prior to opening the zipper, I see the internal temp is between 100-105. It loses some heat as you enter. Today it climbed to 114, then rapidly began slipping. I will often turn it off, then back on, which sometimes helps. Today I did not see improvement. I used an ice cube on the temp probe, until the monitor showed a temp of about 60. This seemed to encourage it. Going forward, we have absolutely no confidence in it and are sorely disappointed. We both felt benefit from using it.Two more frustrating and disappointing weeks of watching temps continue to fall, we tried various tricks. The most recent was moving the temp sensor to the outside of the tent, thinking maybe that would cause the controller to ask for more heat. I logged time and temp for about 50 minutes today. The high was 109 and the low was below 100, checking the temp every three or four minutes. Earlier this week I took two very dependable thermometers and was somewhat surprised to see that the temps displayed on the remote squared with the temps on the thermometers. This begs the question: If the set temp is 130 and the remote is reporting a temp of 99, why doesn’t the thermostat/controller call for more heat? I contacted Serene Life earlier this week. As of this moment I have not had the courtesy of a reply.Based on the Amazon reviews, it appears that many customers have had better results than I and have enjoyed using their saunas. I congratulate them. Sadly, I was not part of that group.Today we disassembled the beast, packed it into its box and are sending it back. My advice to anyone considering this unit from Amazon, buy it in early November when Amazon’s holiday return policy is modified beyond the usual 30 days.

They must have fixed issues, I had none
All of the issues others have mentioned have not been an issue with the one I received. The heat pads stay up just fine and do not fall in towards me, the foot mat temp is fine, heats up as it should. I have found no issues so far. When installing the heat pads one of the wires is really tucked in but it is there. I put a quilt over the top and sides of mine and the heat stays in better and it gets hotter. I have no complaints on this sauna, it is exactly how they describe.

Reliable
I had mine for about 5 years i always got a good sweat in it. Recently the control bored got fried during a power outage. As I had already ordered a real sauna before it broke won't be replacing it. But definitely worth the buy if your on a budget.
