This is the first time I’ve tried Detroit Axle for pads and rotors, my son needed a full set on his car after I had to explain to him that the persistent screeching he was hearing while braking is because he was down to bare metal on his front two brakes. He’s still learning things, so all good. I was very impressed with the cut and quality of the rotors when I opened the box and got them ready for installing. The spend the effort on finish, which was nice, because for the price range I expected rough edges or ragged cuts. None of that to be found here. Fit was perfect, the clips and pads snapped into all four of the calipers with ease. I’ll admit I didn’t use the anti seize grease they send, mainly because it comes in the form of two Taco Bell sauce size packets, so I tossed them and used my own can that has a built in brush. Other than that, everything was fine, a quick trip around the block and they grab fine, no squeaks, no rattle and no noise. It was glorious watching my son almost go through the windshield the first time he stepped on the brakes and they worked properly. It’s rained consistently for the last three days straight, and I admit I’m a bit jealous. My son’s rotors don’t oxidize nearly as quickly as the slotted and drilled high end rotors I have on my car that I got from a competitor. The oxidation on mine disappears quickly with use, but these rotors don’t seem to oxidize at all. That’s pretty nice. I do wish they sent gloves, Most of the sets I’ve purchased, granted at a higher price point, come with gloves and all the other do dads and things you need to mess with brakes, this came with brake fluid, the Taco Bell packets of anti seize and a can of aerosol brake cleaner, which is enough, so my complaint is only a minor one to point out you’ll have to supply your own gloves. Five stars anyway for the quality, fit and functionality, and I’ll for sure consider these for when my wife’s rotors and brakes need to be replaced, probably in the next year or two.

Fitment and quality of the brake rotors and pads seem pretty good. The true test will be if they'll last as long as my original Hyundai factory brakes that my car came with from the factory new back in 2012. I put 166k miles on my original factory brakes, and they still had a little service life remaining.

Bought these for a 2013 Hyundai Elantra and they brake great, no issue with performance. Install was simple enough if you have done brakes before, and getting them bedded in was easy as well. These things immediately rusted in Oregon weather, there is no special coating on them to prevent rust, the center hubs are just all rust. I am talking all the parts of the rotors that are not where the brake pads touch. The biggest issue with these is how much they squeak, they squeal and squeak horribly to the point they are needing to be replaced 7 months later because the driver of the car has horrible migraines and the last thing she needs is a high pitched squealing noise when braking. The squeaking and squealing is very loud and present in the car with all the windows up and radio on. They started squeaking within a couple weeks but have continued to get worse and worse to the point now they are unacceptable. Simply a poorly engineered product.
