Fantastic cordless - Comparable suction to the 11 AMP Vaccum we normally use.
Surprising amount of suction. The brush is powering through the carpet and the suction is picking everything up so It isn't a breeze to push, it's busy grabbing everything out of the carpet. I love the vacuum but would warn elderly people that it is too heavy for them, a lot of weight right at the hand and it's not a breeze to push. I owned a more expensive cordless , the brand name starts with an e and ends with a lux. It was a great vacuum, I was very impressed with it, it was light and easy to push, did a very nice job but the battery faded and replacing it is very difficult. And with that said, this vacuum does a much better job than the more expensive one. There are caveats; It is heavy on the hands and it grabs and sucks up everything so it isn't a breeze to push. I want to be clear, it isn't hard to push, but if you are 80 years old and your arthritis is bothering you, it would be too much for you. Like I said in the title, this thing competes and might even out perform our 11AMP upright, when you vacuum with this thing you can see where you've been, it is surprisingly powerful. I highly recommend this product. And the replaceable batteries make it an easy choice. We have 4 Black and Decker devices that run on the same exact battery, 20 Volt lithium. We have the drill, lead blower, weed eater and the vacuum (happy with all of them). I don't know how they test battery the amount of time the battery last. It probably would last 50 minutes on wood floors? For us it's closer to 20-25 minutes (100% Carpeting with rugs) I can do the entire down stairs (1200 square feet) with one charge and if I need it for a longer period of time I can just swap the battery out with any of the other three we have. Again, I highly recommend this product.

Much better than I expected a cordless to be.
This is the first cordless vacuum I have ever tried. I was hoping it would be easier to use than the monster corded vacuum I own. I have a thorough hatred of power cords when vacuuming. I already own several Black&Decker 20V cordless tools, so trying out this cordless vacuum made sense. The vacuum works much better than I expected. It is picking up all sorts of dust and hair the big machine missed. It is so much lighter and easier to maneuver that vacuuming is less of a chore. I can just grab a battery and be vacuuming in under 30 seconds and then put it away - so I am vacuuming more often. It seems to work on hard floors and short fiber rugs - bot not on small thin throw rugs which can get caught up in it. I have no thick long fiber carpet to try it on. It seems to be well built (but I may add to this review in the future if there are problems) and is really easy to breakdown and set up. I have used it as a one hand cordless vacuum and that feature works extremely well also. I did not order the pet attachments. Power: Forget trying to use a 1.5 AH 20V battery on this vacuum, it will go through it in a few minutes and start losing suction. 2.0 AH is better, but it does not last long enough for a thorough house cleaning either - maybe one or two rooms. I own a couple 7 AH 20V batteries and THOSE work well. I wear out long before the battery does - but they are heavy so the wrist and arm can get sore using these a lot. I would say the sweet spot is 3 AH to 5 AH, but I really like the 7AH for long duration cleaning. If you go with a high AH battery then invest in a fast charger for it - I can recharge the 7 AH in an hour or two using the fast charger (but it isn't totally dead when I do this) Pros: The vacuum has a set of led lights that indicate on strong the motor in the vacuum is working. With the vacuum on high, it should have 3 LEDs lit up - when you see two just change out the battery because you are wasting your time trying to vacuum with a weak suction. The vacuum stick is metal and seems well made. The dust container is very easy to dump and clean out. The unit stands by itself in my closet - I already had a charging area set up so I am not using the charger rack to hang it from. Cons: It hates small throw rugs - especially light ones whose corners get sucked up into the machine and cause it to shut off.

4 Stars for vacuum, 5 stars for customer service
I purchased this vacuum in June 2023. I wanted a more convenient vacuum to quickly access versus my conventional upright vacuum. I immediately noticed what many reviewers mentioned: very good carpet performance (for a stick vacuum, my upright still does a more thorough job) but only adequate on hard floor: it seemed like the low clearance of the brush portion was too low and it would often only push around much of the floor debris unless it was very small or light (like fine dust or hair). In the kitchen, pieces of rice, oatmeal, etc. is often too large for the vacuum to easily suck up. I never had any issues mechanically with the vacuum until two weeks ago: the brush stopped spinning. I opened up the brush portion and noticed a plastic gear, which was attached internally to the brush and driven by the motor belt, had cracked become dislodged from the brush. I saw the part number stamped on the part itself and asked Black and Decker if I could purchase just that part versus warranting the whole vacuum. I'm sure it costs about $2 but they notified me that they don't sell that part individually. They offered to warranty the entire vacuum for this one tiny broken part which seemed entirely inefficient but I certainly appreciated my issue being remedied in a very timely fashion. I received the new vacuum in the mail a few days ago and it worked perfect. I really wish more producers, like Black and Decker in this case, would promote repair versus replacement in the name of efficiency, but this experience certainly elevated my view of Black and Decker.

Best vacuum cleaner ever
Best stickback ever noise levels good no clogging whatsoever easy to use weight's good like the size of it canister very easy to empty it can vacuum probably about 1700 square foot house on one charge with the littlest battery it came with but what I like is you can actually buy a bigger battery for it I've had it for probably around going on 2 years and never had a problem out of it I would definitely buy another one as a matter of fact I bought one for my sister and she loves it happy vacuuming

Doesn't like rocks or crumbs will spit them back at you
I got this vacuum after reading lots of reviews and thought it would be a great option for our home. During the winter I thought it was a nice vacuum other than trying to suck up crumbs under the dining room table that my robot vac can't reach. however now that it is spring dirt, sand and rocks are coming in (i live on a farm and have 3 kids and 3 adults and a dog in our household) it is horrible. It doesn't have enough suction power to pick up small rocks and it will just leave them behind or worse fling them back at you when you go to move. This vacuum also doesn't like changing surface heights so if you have area rugs and exposed flooring it will not suck up where they meet. It clogs easily in the tube that goes from thr floor head to the pipe. Dirt bin is a horrible design to remove and replace on the unit. I only use this vacuum in our entryway, stairs and stairwell landing and part of our basement. So far the only thing I still like is I can make it short enough for my toddler to use. I also like that I can use the same batteries as my drills. It's fairly light weight which I also like. I guess I am still searching for a good vacuum that has the power i need to remove the dirt. The photos I posted are of the rocks it leaves behind. And the stair rug I already vacuumed.

GREAT Upright Vacuum Cleaner
Recently received. Full battery charge. GREAT Upright Vacuum Cleaner. Excellent on Carpets or hardwood flooring - Recommend purchasing. No Need to Run Battery all the way down. Battery has no memory. Charge when low or whenever. Don`t leave Battery in Charger even if unplugged. Remove after charging fully and store in a cool dry place

Lots of great features except the most important thing - SUCTION
I bought this because it had a standard interchangeable battery, it stands on its own, the dust cup is removeable and filter washable. It's nice and light, feels like a decent build. The "On" button is in a good place. It can be used completely flat to get under low furniture. All great things! Only thing is it can barely pick up crumbs from the kitchen floor! I hear that satisfying "click-click" of crumbs getting sucked up, only to realize they've been redistributed on the floor elsewhere. Eventually I can get them up but it's more effort than sweeping. It also doesn't pick up anything close to the wall or furniture bases. The dust cup comes off WAY too easily. I have a rubber band around it to avoid it falling off when I bump a wall or table leg a bit too hard. Rather disappointed with this. I should have ordered the cheaper Inse brand that comes with 2 decent batteries and actually sucks up the crumbs. Can I return this thing? I would if I could. Works much better on light dust and hair than crumbs and small kid craft debris. I literally couldn't even pick up one plastic craft project gemstone from the kitchen floor with this thing despite it making a ton of noise as if it were getting sucked into the nozzle but not all the way up. There are no clogs, battery is fully charged. Really disappointed.

2nd one I've bought
The first one the beater attachment stopped working after I tried to clean it. Now I have 2, one I use with the small attachment for corners the other for general vacuuming so I don't need to be changing attachments. It is really good for getting under things and is light weight. I also have a Black + Decker leaf blower and a B+D hand drill. Batteries don't last a long time, especially at high power so I have all the batteries I always have at least one with charged up. I'll never buy a vacuum with a cord again.

Gets fine dust. Convenient and lightweight. LOVE IT!
Pros: - Does a great job! The finest particles and dog hair are easily taken care of. - Dust bin is easy to take apart for cleaning. - Manoeuvres well for getting into tight areas. - The attachment is handy for between furniture gaps. - Charger can be mounted on wall or not. Either way it's easy to recharge. - Flat carpet and laminate floors are no challenge. - Has 3 speeds. The lowest setting is good for laminate floor, the highest for low pile carpet. Cons: - Feels cheap, but so far it's holding up well. It's been several months now. - Bin is a bit tricky to reattach. You need to get some bits out with fingers, and the pre-filter falls out sometimes. - Turning it into a handheld tool is awkward as you need to press the button hard and wrestle it apart. I used a bit of vaseline to make it slide off easier but it's still needs some muscle. Seniors might have real trouble with that. Same goes for removing and cleaning the roller. It should be easier to disassemble these parts because you will eventually need to clean them to remove string or hair. - Stands upright, albeit tenuously. Could be sturdier. - The brush attachment is almost worthless, collapsing when pressed even lightly. (See video) The attachment mount is a bit bulkier than it should be. (See image) Overall: I like it. It is a great vacuum for an apartment or small home, even with pets. Because it's so easy to maneuver it encourages me to vacuum more often. After using a canister vacuum and an upright with bag, this was a game changer. I would never go back now. UPDATE: I was emptying the dust bin when the pre-filter fell in the garbage. The garbage was gone before I realized my error. The window for a return was well closed by then but I contacted the seller — fully expecting them to say "tough luck", but to my surprise they offered to send out a replacement part. The new pre-filter is a different design. It has turbo-charged my vacuum and it can't fall out. In a world where companies are notorious for terrible customer service, this response made me feel so happy and relieved! The product now deserves the full 5 stars! Buy it. Good client support deserves your patronage.

Good vacuum with short battery life at full suction
Got this to replace a Dibea cordless vacuum. The main reason was the replacable battery - I was already invested in other Black & Decker tools (weed wacker, drill, jigsaw, and leaf blower), so I had quite a few 20V batteries and chargers lying around. The problem with the Dibea was two fold: 1. If you ran it at high power the battery would die quickly (about 10-12 minutes), and then you would have to wait a few hours for the battery to recharge before finishing your vacuuming. 2. If you ran it at the lower power it picked up the dirt ok and the battery would last longer but the suction would be minimal and part of the dirt/hairs would wind around the power head’s spinning brush and eventually work its way into the connection at the end of the brush and jam/damage the drive mechanism. The Black & Decker battery also only lasts about 10 minutes or so on its fastest speed, but I have a LOT of replaceable batteries 😀! And the roller mechanism remains clear of debris at this high suction speed. I also worry about the Black & Decker air filter plugging up and slowing down the suction, so I bought a package with four replacement filters. I can wash one of them and let it dry while continuing on with one of the other ones. Now this vacuum is new to me so I don’t know how it will perform long term. But the initial impressions are good. Update Dec-21-2023: Things continue to go well with this vacuum. I purchased a 5 amp hour battery: Ahomtikk 20V MAX Replacement for Black and Decker 20V Lithium Battey LBXR20 LB20 LBX20 LBXR2020-OPE LBXR20B-2 LB2X4020 Compatible with Black&Decker 20 Volt Battery https://a.co/d/bYh6HCB This 5 amp-hour battery is physically about twice as deep as the original battery (and maybe about 40% heavier) but it still allows the vacuum to hang from its wall mount with the battery installed and charging. I was a bit concerned that I might notice the extra weight with the larger battery installed, but it feels about the same to me. It took just over 6 hours to charge the battery after I received it - long enough that I was a bit concerned that it might never fully charge, but it finally finished (I suspect that it came with at least a partial charge and I haven’t yet measured how long it takes to fully charge a dead battery). The good part is it allowed the vacuum to run for just under 30 minutes (measured twice so far) on high speed. This is almost 3x as long as with the original battery. No idea how long the battery will last but so far so good. I have yet to have any kind of issue with the power head collecting any kind of debris around the two ends of the spinning brush, so that continues to be a win. Emptying debris from the dirt canister is a bit messy - originally I pulled it apart and cleaned the individual sections under running water (including the filter) as recommended. But if you wanted to continue vacuuming, you had to dry the parts and replace the filter with a fresh one. Recently I tried using the compressed air duster (I use the Koonie Cordless Air Duster sold on Amazon for $69 and a $20 off coupon) that I had purchased to blow dirt out of my computer. You take the vacuum canister outside and just blow the dirt out of it. Then you pull the filter section off the top and blow it out as well. This only takes a couple of minutes and it seems to work well since the filter looks as clean as it does after I wash it (though I will probably still occasionally wash it just to make sure). Since this doesn’t involve water, the vacuum is immediately available to continue vacuuming - and you don’t have to bother hunting down another filter.

100%

Loose mount dust bin
Excellent section. Nice variety. There's even a section with no brush for hardwood floors. I only have one complaint. The dust bin comes off very easily, so when you're vacuuming if you happen to bump it, it pops off and empties all over the floor. I think it's a design problem
