The premium sandpaper hype is real
This was my first experience with premium sandpaper, and I finally understand why people rave about it. For years I'd been using the inexpensive sanding discs because I'm not a full-time woodworker. I mostly build projects around the house, make the occasional piece of furniture, and tackle repairs when needed. Spending significantly more on sandpaper always seemed difficult to justify. After trying these, I don't think I can go back. What I liked: * cuts noticeably faster * much better dust collection * lasts far longer than budget discs * consistent performance throughout the life of the disc * ends up being a better value than I expected The biggest surprise wasn't just that they sanded fasterโit was how much longer they kept sanding effectively. Instead of constantly swapping worn-out discs, I found myself getting substantially more work done with each one. Dust collection also improved noticeably. Whether that's because of the abrasive itself or simply the better disc design, my sander stayed cleaner and more dust ended up where it belonged. What really changed my opinion was the overall value. At first glance these seem expensive compared to bargain sandpaper, but once you factor in how much longer they last and how much better they perform, the price difference starts to make a lot more sense. If you're an occasional woodworker, I'd encourage you to pick up a few discs in the grits you use most and try them for yourself. You don't have to replace your entire sanding supply to see the difference. If you're a professional or frequent woodworker, you probably already know how good premium abrasives are. But if you're like meโa hobbyist who sands often enough that the cost of premium discs gives you pauseโI think these are absolutely worth trying. They've made sanding faster, cleaner, and honestly much more enjoyable. I went into this purchase skeptical, and came away convinced that sometimes paying more really does buy a better product.

Great product!
Stayed on sander, worked very well. Surprisingly the small holes in the paper still allow for great dust collection in the bag. Great quality!

These work well.
The variety pack is priced well to give it a try. This is my first try of these discs and they are far better than any I have used in the past. I suggest you give them a try. Adhesion has no problems, and the cutting media works well and lasts.

Work Great, But I Needed to Use a High Orbital Speed
UPDATE: I realized that I needed to use a higher orbital speed with these discs than with Diablo, which I was using before. The results are MUCH better now, and I'm extremely happy with these. I'm a bit worried about the long-term life of my hook and loop pad because of the higher speed (meaning higher temps), so I might add a backer pad to save mine, but overall the results are cleaner and almost entirely free of swirls and pigtails now. I'd seen a lot of recommendations for this, so I tried it, but I'm getting worse results than the Diablo discs, so I won't be sticking with these. Pretty disappointed.

These really are the best, but the backing is terrible
I really wanted to give these a lower rating, but the quality of the sanding truly is incredible. I've always used the off-brand, cheapest ROS sanding discs I could find. $10 for 100 discs off-brand, or $10 for 15 discs Cubitron? Seemed like a no-brainer to me: I'd buy more discs and change them more often. Never again. The Cubitron really are incredible. Cubitron removes material faster and a more "predictable" even rate. They don't gum up, and stay sharp. Although the perforations don't align w/ the holes in my Dewalt ROS, it still works fine w/ my ShopVac connected. HOWEVER, the backing on these is complete crap. I remove/install these maybe 2-3 times and the backing completely separates. Sometimes I've barely used the sanding disc when the backing separates. This renders the disc useless for the ROS (I keep the disc for hand-sanding), and makes using these discs even MORE expensive. Although I'm not having to change discs as often as w/ the cheaper brand, it's still way too often.

Lasts a FREAKISHLY Long Time
I run a wood shop and build projects daily for my online store, so Iโve gone through a lot of sandpaper over the years. Normally, with standard paperback sanding discs (180 grit), Iโd be swapping them out every projectโor every other project if I was lucky. But the 3M Cubitron II discs are on another level. I put one on almost a month ago, and after dozens upon dozens of projects, Iโm still using the same disc. And hereโs the crazy partโit still sands beautifully. It hasnโt clogged up, glazed over, or dulled out like every other brand Iโve tried. I donโt know what 3M puts in this stuff, but it feels almost alien-like in how long it lasts. Sure, it costs a little more upfront, but the value is undeniable. Instead of burning through a stack of regular discs, one Cubitron keeps goingโand going. Bottom line: This is the future of sandpaper. Itโs going to make traditional paperback discs obsolete. If youโre on the fence, take it from me: it will save you money, time, and frustration in the long run.

I really like these.
Iโve been using Festool and Serious Grit for a long time, I saw these as they were on sale, and decided to buy a few packs of them to give them a try, and they work flawless on my Festool sanders.

Impresionantes

Fantastic performance worth the premium price
Fantastic performance even with problematic materials. Used 150 grit to remove "milk paint" from 26 cabinet doors. Regular abrasive disc clog every 2 minutes. One of these lasts 20 minutes or more and removes twice the material. Very impressed. Also have used on soft plastics where low speeds are essential, excellent material removal rate at slow speeds or by hand.

Best of the best
After hearing a lot of hype, and putting the cubitron sanding discs through their paces, I must say these are the best discs Iโve ever used. Everything they say about cubitron is true. They last a LONG time and do an amazing job.
