Returning for a refund. WARNING-The electric wine bottle opener emitted a terrible smell when I turned it on; smelled like a motor burning. So, I only operated it one time; smell was that bad. Also, operating instructions imply that the opener comes with 4 - AA batteries already installed; says to "take out insulating trip before use" (thin plastic tab to prevent batteries from making full contact). Well, there was no plastic tab and when I opened the battery compartment, there were no batteries: had to put my own in. Another reviewer from last month (October 2019) noted that their unit would not work when they got it; looks like they have a bad batch coming out of production (made in China).

Ordered this wine opener set as a Christmas present and I am super disappointed with it. I ended up returning the first one I ordered because the bottom button on the electric opener did not work. I received a replacement one a couple of days later and that one did not work at all. All of the other pieces in the set were fine but I really wish the electric opener would have worked.

The traditional opener is fine, but the electric one the motor is so weak that it takes for ever actually get the cork out, even with brand new batteries.

First time trying to use this. I put in brand new batteries and the wine opener didnt work. Very dissatisfied with this purchase.

Even it will be a gift. I still tried it before send it as a gift. it is well packaged. it is electricone so it is safe. No contract with cutting or punching parts. it only takes seconds to cut the foil. it is easy to use. just push the up button and cork is removed from the bottle. for sure my friend will like it.

Bought this for my mom for Mothers Day, she loves it. Works great, we killed 3 bottles even quicker now that we have this tool lol
