I recently bought a LapGear Sidekick Lap Desk with Device Ledge and Phone Holder. I wanted a laptop desk that's small and lightweight, and comfortable in my lap while I'm in my recliner. The LapGear Sidekick meets all my requirements perfectly.It is a pretty basic item...nothing particularly fancy about it. It's basically a plastic platform with a cushion sewn to the bottom. The cushion cover is a good, sturdy fabric, and the cushion's filler is made from what feels like tiny plastic beads.On the plastic desktop surface there's an anti'skid pad and a desktop ledge, both of which do an excellent job of keeping my laptop from sliding off the lap desk. There's also a slot for holding my smart phone, but I don't use that. My laptop and its cooling pad cover the slot completely.The LapGear Sidekick is only slightly larger than my 15.6" laptop, which is perfect, because it fits so well on my lap. It's lightweight and very comfortable. I use it not only for holding my laptop, but also for holding books I am reading when my laptop is not in use.I like the LapGear Sidekick Lap Desk a lot. Highly recommended.

I bought this product to use with Logitech k400+wireless keyboard as I found just putting the keyboard on top of my lap wasn't ergonomic. Now my keyboard stays in place, does not slide all all over my legs and is at the perfect height for comfortably typing without straining my wrist, neck and shoulders. It's very good quality, but not at first glance.Another reviewer had the best tip for this lap desk which I'd also like to pass along. My husband tried it out on the passenger side as a table for eating take out in the car during the pandemic or road trips. He liked it so much I bought another one dedicated for dining out in the car so I can continue to use the original lap desk I bought for my keyboard. I bought a steering wheel tray for the driver side and it has worked out great for us.Pros:- sturdy material, not easy to damage or dent even with heavy use- easy to clean when used as food tray- the phone slot works well to hold my LG phone/glasses/eating utensils/pens/earbuds/usb stick- the bean bag style padding is very comfortable and makes adjusting easy since it forms to your legs- lightweight, easy to store, very portable- stitching on the back is good quality. Not glued like other lap desk padding so no fear of the styrofoam balls leaking unless you tear the fabric somehow. You'd have to be really rough with this desk or have sharp metal robot legs.- has a convenient large handle for any size hands or a rolling suitcase luggage handle, fits into laptop bag or large purse easily- Good ergonomic height for typing- Perfectly rectangular shape. I don't like the paint palette style. Works fine for me and I have a small pot belly LOL- Laptop doesn't overheat on this deskCons:- 15.6 laptop fits but not perfectly. Will cover the phone slot. Laptop won't sit steady since it sits on top of the non slip guards. Will topple over but the padding is handy to keep things somewhat comfortable should I choose to use it with my computer.- Not sure how hot my lap will get in the sweaty summer months, although the fabric seems breathable.- It would be nice if this came with a removeable gel wrist pad- the non slip guards are only useful for smaller laptops/books/fast food containers/tablets & keyboards

I got this to put my Macbook on - I wanted something not much bigger than the laptop so it wouldn't be unweildy for using on the couch - this works well and keeps it off me so it doesn't cause discomfort when it heats up / gives it better ventilation to keep itself cool. The side slot for a phone is nice and convenient too

Love this!! Light weight, comfortable on lap, and i love using it on my desk when my computer needs a little boost up.

It was okay. I like the phone slot and the grippiness of the surface but it would not fit my Dell Latitude (one of those tablet/keyboard combos (like the Microsoft Surface) without falling off. It fits my 14" screen Dell laptop but just barely. The bumpers on it will only contain smaller footprint laptops.

I work from home and haven’t been able to sit at my desk due to extensive foot surgery and having to always keep my foot elevated. This lap desk makes it SO much more comfortable to work on my laptop on the couch. No teetering laptop anymore. The ledge is great for holding the laptop in place and I really like the non slip grip line at the top. The underside is kind of like a bean bag and molds around whatever you have the lap desk sitting on. I can even shift the “stuffing” of the underside a little to make the top a little higher when I want to, such as when I use my iPad on it. It also has a little cubby for pens and pencils which is nice so I an use it kind of like a clipboard as well, and my 7 year old has used it to do homework and he loves sitting on the couch to do homework and he’s happy that now he doesn’t always lose his pencil in the cracks of the couch because he can set it in the pencil holder. Has a handle on the back for easy carrying as well. Good price, sturdy, great size, fast shipping.

I use my iPad Air (13”) in a lot, from the comfort of my couch. This suits the bill, but is a bit small (horizontal dimension). I like the padding/cushioning on the bottom, and my hands/arms are in a comfortable position.Well-constructed materials and slot for my phone.

Excelente soporte para laptop. Se siente de buen material. La compu no se mueve ni se resbala y se siente muy cómodo en las piernas / regazo, ya sea sentado en un sillón o acostado en la cama.

Very small, please read measurements carefully, also the top part feels very plastic like, feeling cheap my 15 inch macbook barely fits, not the best one I've owned, ended up buying another one.

My kid love laying on the bed to do her drawing so I got her this, at least now she have a hard surface to draw on. Got the black so I won’t be able to see all the markers stain. It’s big enough to support my iPad Pro 12.9 too.

Does its job as a stand, quite comfortable thanks to the soft underside, but the laptop tends to slide a bit when you move
