Design Toscano The Desiree Art Deco Lighted Sculpture,Two Tone Ivory and Gold

The quality is excellent. Someone reviewed it as being cheap plastic, but it's not. The only thing I was taken aback by was the size. The figure is a full 12 inches tall, I think I imagined it would be a little daintier. But the detail of the statue is quite nice, and she's quite lovely. It does not come with a lightbulb. I found a 1.5 watt LED candelabra bulb for the light so I'll be able to leave it on all the time. You'll need a small bulb (3 inches or less in length) for it to fit inside the globe.

It is nice on my piano. Looking closely, some of the paint detail is sloppy. The bright gold paint looks like it has a cloudy haze. I'm hoping I can polish it off.

I have a rather large collection of Art Deco lamps, (Illuminated Sculptures). Of all that I have, this one just might be my favorite. Its classic lines and attention to detail are superb, down to the fingers and toes. It makes my living room something special and adds some "glam". All the components of this sculpture work together to create a masterpiece. The woman is stylish yet innocent. The colors are soft yet they definitely make a statement. I highly recommend this item and store.

I've got this lamp knowing already that it will be a cheap art deco China replica made of resin. The thing that attracted me the most was its hard to find timeless design.The biggest issue with the lamp is that the glass ball is not fixed with a bolt, it loosely lies in the bowl without any support. The figure is pretty nice, although you will need to use a plastic polish to give it a proper shine- it is not properly polished. Overall, my rating is three stars- this lamp is a nice addition to your bedrrom interior, but the price could be much lower (like around $40-45) and the quality could be much better.

Absolutely gorgeous and authentically art deco looking. It's graceful and a great size. The unseemly looking wires that someone disparaged as ugly are used to keep globe in place and are intended to be placed inside the globe so they are invisible.

I read many reviews that said the finish pn this lamp was very popr.ine is an A+. I love it. I van read measurements and completelu undertand them but when it is on my grand piano it looks a bit smaller than expected. But I still give it high marks.

A beautiful lamp/statue. It adds just the right touch to my deco-style living room. Gives off a lovely, bright light. The paint colour is not exactly as it appears in the picture -- the lady is not pearly white, but more of a drab beige colour, and the gold is more of an attempt at an aged copper using two not-very-good paints (a gold-ish and a deeper orange). I re-painted the statue myself with a lovely pearlescent white and an antique hammered gold (special designer paints) and it's incredibly beautiful now. Looks like a real, vintage piece.
