These are really good at staying sealed, however when I opened one yesterday to reorganise my clothes into categories that suited me, the clothes were really creased and I had to iron with more than usual pressure to get rid of the creases caused by the vacuum. Call me stupid, but I genuinely thought that once the air got into the garments they would 'reinflate' to what they were before they were placed in the bags and vacuumed: they didn't. My advice is to not reduce the bag to its minimum size; take into account the type of fabric you are storing especially if the fabric is delicate, as you may have to iron later to reshape the garment and the fabric could be overstretched depending on the creasing level. Bedding would be okay for extra ironing pressure: if required. Lesson learned. The bags are of good quality, do the job as intended and will not reinflate with air until opened again, as long as you follow the instructions. You should also manually press along the two top strip sections of the bag to ensure they are properly clicked together, then use the little clip to ensure it is fully sealed as per instructions.

EDIT: I obviously wrote my review too soon, as after a week, every bag has re-inflated. I despair. I only want to store a few winter items and just can't seem to find anything that stays compressed for more than a few days. I've had so many different brands of vacuum bags over the years, so good, some awful. I've had to buy more and chose this brand as I'd seen them recommended by Good Housekeeping, but mainly because of the 'Verified by Transparency' pledge, which assures you that they're the genuine make, and presumably that they'll work. I don't always want the cheapest option, I'd rather pay a bit more for a genuinely good product and have it work. I've only used one so far but they seem to be decent quality and thickness, and it's so far stayed deflated.

Doesn't lie flat like it shows in the photos but does the job. One thing to remember, as you take the air out, gently smooth out the bag. I put a quilt and pillows in the big bag, did the job, but the bag was so wrinkled it looked horrendous. And sure enough, the quilt cover and pillow cases were badly creased so you could not use it at a moments notice if someone came to stay over. I decided to re do it and took some of the air back out and smoothed the bag as I was taking the remaining air out. Job done... Much better. Good quality though and seems robust but first time using so we'll see. Great if you want to leave quilts etc in a caravan/motorhome/boat etc. Keeps out the moisture.

The concept behind these items is great and the are very easy to use, however, customer service is very poor. The contact details provided through Amazon's help centre relates to a US based company that is said to specialise in "steel storage solutions for commercial customers. Their suggested contact point through www.spacesaverbags.com is not accessible at all. Other attempts to contact the company have proved unsuccessful. My issue is that having used two of the bags and stored them, I now find that they have reinflated suggesting a fault in their construction. Disappointing overall.

I actually bought these bags in June 2021, but didn't review them at the time. The bags are a great size especially for storing double sized sleeping bags over winter in the attic. Unfortunately one of the bags has failed and started to let air back inside so as the bags say they are guaranteed for life I decided to email the manufacturers...within 24 hours I had a reply asking for my shipping address and then 24 hours after my reply I received a new set of bags... this is GREAT customer service and I will be buying more bags in the future.

These bags appear to be very strong and seemed to work well removing the air with the pump. However, I notice today that most of the bags have in fact re inflated! It doesn’t really matter because the clothes are still stored away & when I have time I will try again!

These storage bags are excellent, super simple to vacuum down, I purchased some other bags which were cheaper and they kept filling back up with air, these are much better quality. Would definitely recommend.

I wasn't hopeful. But pleasantly surprised. Don't bother with the pump. You will be there forever. Use vacuum cleaner. Done in seconds. Various sizes. Got double feather duvets and feather pillows and curtains in no issues. The plastic bags are quite tough. Can't see them ripping. Time will tell. I spent more time sealing the bags. Trying to line up the poppers Checked them this morning. Less than 24 hours later. Air has escaped. So probably going back for refund

We used these to pack for our vacation to reduce the size of our items. They were easy to seal using our vacuum. At the end of the vacation we used them again for our wet towels and dirty laundry. We had taken the hand pump along. Once we laid on the bag to push out as much air as possible, we zipped it up. We used the hand pump to get the remaining air out and it took less than 20 seconds. It worked perfectly. We have recommended them to several friends already. I will give you one piece of advice. After you lay on the bag to get out the first bit of air and zip it shut, put the bag into whatever you’re packing it into. When you pump/suck the remaining air out, the bag will conform to the item it’s packed into. We did our first bag with our sheets and pillows (we were going camping and packing into stacking storage bins) zipped into the bags but when we sucked out the last bit of air it wouldn’t lay flat in the bottom of the bin. It gets so solid after removing the air, you can’t bend it. Putting it into the suitcase or bin prior to removing the air for the last time makes it fit perfectly into the area you want it in. HIGHLY recommend!

The vacuum Storage bags are definitely a must have they seal tight. The thickness of the plastic is perfect. It is very well-made, a must have for making space.

Ero un po' scettica inizialmente, sul sistema in sé più che sulla marca. Pensavo di acquistare semplicemente delle scatole classiche x riporre i vestiti del cambio di stagione ma le recensioni erano ottime così mi sono decisa a provare. Vale la pena. Ho acquistato la versione con più misure al suo interno tanto x capire effettivamente quale mi sia più comoda in base alla capienza e al posto che ho a disposizione x stiparli una volta pieni. Gli unici due sacchi che non ho ancora usato a sorpresa sono i più grandi e sono anche quelli che avrei immaginato di usare per primi magari per piumoni o coperte ma sono davvero enormi e quindi non ne ho avuto bisogno. Il materiale è molto resistente , la plastica è super spessa ed è un bene perché garantisce che non ci siano infiltrazioni d'aria , che ciò che viene contenuto sia al riparo da polvere e sporco e che li si possa maneggiare senza aver timore che si spacchino. Sono riuscita a fare un bel po' di spazio sia negli armadi che negli scaffali del ripostiglio. È una bella trovata e mi sento di consigliarli per la qualità che ho riscontrato!
