TotalBoat TotalTread Non-Skid Deck Paint for Boat Floors - White Quart

This paint worked great on my boat. The color looks really good and the texture is perfect for non-skid. It gives solid grip without being too rough, and it made a big difference on the deck. Overall, very happy with it and would definitely use it again.

Product came packed very securely in a heavy-walled cardboard box. Even so, the delivery people still managed to drop it and dent the bottom of the gallon can. No fault of the seller, but clearly the heavy handed delivery company. Thanks for the gloves, stir sticks and pouring/mixing cups! The paint itself was very EZ to work with and I got a great finish. I did one coat and noticed some lite coverage in a few areas, so I feel strongly that 2 coats are needed. It was pretty sunny out so the mis-coverage was my fault. Even so, the finish was very very nice. I used a 1/8" nap roller and did not need to tip it with a brush. I used blue painters tape to mask my areas and then pulled it up without issue in about 30 minutes time. I HIGHLY recommend using the gloves because this stuff is not easy to remove from your hands without full strength mineral spirits. I waited a few days to let the paint cure (not sure that was needed but I did my best to stay off the new finish and not wash or scrub it for a few days). When I washed my boat the following week, I totally noticed a renewed sense of safety thanks to the new nonskid paint! And having my nonskid as a new color, people can totally see where to step and NOT to step when running around the boat. The finish is easy on my feet too. All in all it was a great project that made my old girl look new and sexy again! My tip for others with an old, chalky, no-longer-shiny fiberglass boat is to wetsand the glossy (slippery) areas to bring back the shine (really works!) and then mask off the non-skid areas and paint that area with this TotalTread product. Again, this project made my old boat a new boat! I purchased the sand beige (check out the pix). I ordered a gallon: one coat on a Catalina 30 sailboat used up about a quart. So then two coats would require half gallon. Everyone's mileage will vary but that's my math, FYI.

TotalBoat TotalTread non-skid paint is awesome. I painted the floor of my aluminum 12 foot boat with this product and it turned out amazing! Make sure you clean and wash the floor before applying and make sure it is dry and free of any dirt. Applied with a good brush. Dry fairly quickly, but let it dry over night before checking. I recommend this product. I used the gray color.

Went on smoothly, holding up so far. Used it on an aging deck. Cleaning and priming the deck took effort, painting it was easy. A couple of thin coats deck looks great. Paint color consistent, can't tell where I needed to touch up. The silica is easy on bare feet, not at all slick after rain. The grey color I ordered was much lighter than I expected, glad now. A darker color would probably be hot in southern summer sun. Good value from Amazon for 3 gallons. Looked to buy paint locally, it was $60 a gallon more. Issue I had was that shipping boxes arrived in perfect condition, the cans inside were severely dented, one slightly leaking. It was necessary to transfer paint to cans I picked up at home improvement store. No returns. Mineral spirits just fine for clean up.

Easy application using mohair roller and 1” quality brush. Seems to be sticking well. Looks great with enough grit to be non skid, yet not too rough. Have yet to see how durable it will be…fingers crossed!

VERY DISAPPOINTED WITH THIS PRODUCT.. I GIVE MY BOAT FLOORS THE NECESSARY PREPARATION FOR THIS APPLICATION ... NECESSARY SANDING, CLEANING THE ENTIRE PROCESS . I DID TWO FULL COATS... IT TOOK ALMOST A WEEK TO FULLY CURE FOR ME TO BE ABLE TO STEP INSIDE.. THE AGGRESSION IN MY FLOORS IS GOOD ( WHAT I REALLY HATE SCRATCH VERY EASY IF YOU DROP SOMETHING IT WILL SHIP EASY .. I REGRET USING THIS PRODUCT ON MY BOAT AFTER ALL THE TIME N EFFORT..

Different use case. I had a diving board that was looking rough and didnt want to go the Olympia/Silica route. This fit the bill perfect! Im sure more prep would have been ideal, but I just pressure washed it, painted some of this one there, and voila! Brand new and grippy!

I ordered Grey. It’s not grey. It’s light blue. Very slow to dry. It’s been 4 days and it’s still tacky. Maybe I put it on too thick. Seems like quality paint. Just disappointed the color is not right.
