My dentist recommended this after finding some gum issues during a checkup. She told me to ditch the thin regular floss and use an expanding one instead. Glad I listened. The floss starts thin so it slides between tight teeth easily, then expands once it's in the gap. It grabs way more plaque and debris than the old thin stuff ever did. Feels like twice the clean.Once I looked into what's in most regular floss I didn't want to go back anyway. A lot of the mainstream brands are coated with microplastics and PFA. This one is PFA free which matters when you're dragging something across your gums twice a day.The woven texture is gentle on my gums which is important since mine were already irritated. No snapping or cutting into the gum line. The polar mint flavor is mild and fresh without being overwhelming.

My wife and I agree that this is better than the average dental floss because it really does expand to fill the spaces between your teeth and get the stuff out.

Not quite as good as the old Glide version but a very good substitute. I would buy this again as it seems sturdy and fits between tightly spaced teeth without breaking. Easy to use.

I've read many user reviews about the discontinuation of Listerine Gentle Gum Care floss. I used it for years and was very happy with it. I got good reports from my dentist. Since they discontinued it, I've tried numerous flosses to find a substitute with no luck. I liked the squeaky clean sound the Gentle Gum Care floss made against my teeth. I thought the Hayden was pretty good. It was the closest I came to the Listerine. It made a squeaky sound against most of my teeth, although not all. I kept it, but after using it for a while, it's not working for me. Sometimes, it gets very tight around my fingers and really hurts. If I wind it looser, it can slip off my finger. It can also be difficult to get in and out of some of my teeth. When I pull tighter to remove it from between my teeth, it hurts my finger. I've decided not to use it anymore. I'm trying the Listerine UltraClean with Baking Soda. They've also discontinued that now, but they still make the UltraClean as far as I know. It's rubbery, so you don't get the squeaky sound against your teeth, but it does go between teeth easily. Anyway, I wanted to like the Hayden, but it didn't work out.

I was first introduced to this product by my dentist, and I was impressed from the first time I used it. One of my issues with regular floss was how the thin thread sometimes cut my gums, which made me reluctant to floss (not good, obviously). This one expands so I can comfortably floss and my teeth are cleaner than I used to achieve with the older floss. Finding this 6-pack was the best thing ever for me.
