A clean shave and an attempt to make the blades last longer
Salient Points: I have a heavy beard. I have been shaving for 60 years. I tried an electric razor at age 17, ouch. Never again. I use Shick Hydro 5 for as long as they have been out, best shave ever. Have recent heart conditions, on 2 different blood thinners...a nick takes an hour to scab over. decided to switch to electric. Oddly enough, my first purchase was this Panasonic. Excellent. I slap on some Williams 'Lectric shave and in about 3 minutes, the shaving is done and it gives an amazingly close shave. I take great care in cleaning it . NEXT: My son in law, not knowing I had already purchased an electric razor, got me a nice Norelco with the floating heads. Decent enough shave, no pinching, but it cannot get as close as the Panasonic. My routine is this: I shave for about a minute with the Norelco, then pick up the Panasonic. A minute later, a very smooth shave results. No irritation at all from either. But, the Norelco replacement blades are cheaper so I let them do the initial heavy work and the Panasonic comes in for an easy clean-up. Thus, I think, letting the blades last longer. Summary: No irritation. Panasonic beats Norelco by a good mile IF your goal is a whisper clean shave. If you want "to get the worst', Norelco does fine. Norelco is easier to clean up. Maybe it is because I treat the Panasonic more carefully.

Wow. Dispel the antiquated ideas about the efficacy of an electric razor.
Out of all of the products Iโve purchased this year, this razor leads the pack. I didnโt want to spend 350+ for an electric razorโI have an extremely thick beard, and didnโt want to risk throwing money away since the last time I used an electric razor was back in college in the 80s-/Back then, the razors couldnโt compare with the blades. Well, this breed of electric razors shatters those old memories โthis isnโt your dadโs electric shaver. This is a whole new experience, providing exceptional results an extremely close shave (esp in relation to my expectations). Your skin may take some time getting accustomed to this equipmentโfirst few times I shaved, I had some redness/slight irritationโbut thatโs all gone. High quality, easy to clean, very easy to use, and does what you want it to do. Noteโdespite the close shave one gets from this big guy, it seems like the hair grows back more quickly than when using a standard blade/shaving cream. A close shave with a razor can get me through 24 hours+. This razor, while remarkable in its ability to closely shave my heavy beard, seems to stimulate more rapid growthโso if I shave before work at 7am, Iโd shave again before dinner that night. Worth the investment!! This one is no joke.

Durable quality shaver but came with an open box and missing charger
The Panasonic ARC 5 ES-LV67 is a great product which in this day manufctred in Japan which is known for its quality and durability. Panasonic ARC 5 ES-LV67 does an excellent job with providing you a clean close shave. Have been using it as a dry shaver and the performance is truly incredible. The only thing is that my Panasonic ARC 5 ES-LV67 arrived with a tampered open box and the charger was missing. This one is one of the few times or actually one of its first kind that the Amazon delivery with Amazon as a seller the box arrived with the open box and the charger was missing.. Amazon gave me a small credit enough to purchase a replacement charger and instead of returning the shaver I decided to keep it. Have been using regularly and getting clean comfortable close shaves as good as the razor blade shave. So all in all very good product specially when you have to leave early morning for work and i had to shave before going to sleep but now the new Panasonic ARC 5 ES-LV67 does the job for me without worrying about spending the time and effort for a regular shave. But the open box does take the satisfaction and experience of a sealed box away.. Hey but then it was my decision to stick with it.. As I said it was a small credit given by Amazon and then the price had also gone up if I wanted to cancel and reorder a new one.. Even with the made in Japan product and the excellent quality I still think the price point is a little higher which comes with a brand name like Panasonic otherwise the Chinese brands with similar specs are priced around 30% less.. Its still very early to give a true verdict on the long term durability of the shaver but prior experience with Panasonic shavers they do pay for themselves with their quality and durability.. Would recommend this Panasonic ARC 5 ES-LV67 for anyone who wants a close and comfortable shave both dry and wet..

Excellent shaver, especially when paired with the ES9036 Replacement Foil & Blades
I'm a long-time Panasonic Wet/Dry shaver user. I've tried Brauns and Norelcos, but I've returned them and always gone back to Panasonics for the simple fact that Panasonics shave the closest. Over the years, I've owned Arc3, Arc4, and most recently, the venerable LV65-S Arc5 shaver, which is now relegated to backup duty with my purchase of this LV67 shaver. The LV67 is hands down the best Panasonic I've ever owned, especially when paired with the Panasonic Replacement Blade Set ES9036 - the one with the two gold rollers - which is also available here on Amazon. With this combination of shaver and foil, I get a smooth irritation-free shave that is closer than either a single edge or cartridge/disposable blade shave. This setup is also great at capturing the flat-lying hairs under the chin and on the neck that seem to grow in different directions and are notoriously difficult for electric shavers to capture. (I usually pass a Gillette Mach 3 under the chin at the conclusion of each shave just to be sure I've gotten everything.) With the LV67/ES9036 combo, I also no longer suffer from ingrown hairs on my cheeks that I used to experience with the close, but slightly irritating, LV65-S. The LV67 has a floating head that articulates in more directions than the LV65-S. I shave by completing one pass of my face with the head of the shaver unlocked, and then lock the head and do one more pass of my entire face. I shave wet in the shower with a dime-size portion of Bump Patrol Cool Shave Gel (also available on Amazon) spread across my face, which allows the shaver to glide and produces zero irritation. I then dry my face and apply a little Nivea Cooling After Shave Balm (also available on Amazon). A note about cleaning Panasonic wet/dry shavers: you don't need the Panasonic cleaning station, so skip the cleaning station and invest the extra cash in an ES9036 shaving foil set. It's easy enough to clean these shavers with liquid soap and water. When I'm done shaving, I rinse the shaver off to remove any hairs and shaving gel and then I dunk the head of the running shaver for 10-15 seconds in a small cup of water mixed with a little Dawn liquid soap that I keep in my shower stand. I then rinse the soapy residue off and then separate the foil from the shaver and set it down to allow it to dry between shaves. This helps to keep the shaver clean and prevents it from accumulating gunk from shaving creams/gels and hair. The only drawback I've seen after having owned many Panasonic shavers is that the batteries in their shavers only last about two years. In the past, I've had to make two warranty claims for Panasonics due to dead batteries, and both times Panasonic sent me a brand new shaver. I hope the battery longevity issue has been resolved with this LV97 shaver. Nevertheless, I highly recommend this shaver for purchase. UPDATE 11/2/2022 - After owning this shaver for almost two years, the battery has now died. The shaver wont turn on and won't accept a charge. I've submitted it to Panasonic under their 2 year warranty and should receive my replacement within 2 weeks.

Best for sensitive skin
I was about to replace my old Braun with a new 9 Pro+ but grabbed this one when the Braun unexpectedly died as it was overnight Prime shipping. First pass I couldnโt feel anything so I thought it was a dud. Then I felt my mustache area โ razor close finish. My neck area is always tricky, but if I move against the grain it shaves easily. With Braun shavers I often have to use pressure which causes redness, bumps, and even cuts. With the Arc5, as long as I let it glide without pressure I can get a super close dry shave in under 5 minutes. I should note, I didnโt need any โadjustmentโ period as this shaver worked A+ on day one. Charging isnโt an issue as it holds a long charge. My only issue was the flimsy vinyl case, but surprisingly it fit inside the more durable case I kept from a Philips Norelco S9000 that turned out to be worthless. This is probably the best foil shaver I have used. The design seemed a little more oversize, but it works really well. The one con is the sound. Sure, all shavers have a sound. The Arc5 though sounds like a piercing air strike. But I have gotten used to it.

Great Shaver
I have a thick and tough beard and this shaver seems give me a close shave for an electric razor. Much better than the German Braun it replaced. Not quite as good an actual razor blade shave but close enough for a quicker and less messy shave. Another great made in Japan high quality product.

Just about perfect
Coming from a guy who cuts his face to ribbons trying to use regular razors because of my super tough facial hair this razor is a godsend with shaving gel. It's the only combo I found so far that lets me get my entire upper lip right up to my nose and all the way up to the edge of my sideburns while getting a good close shave almost as good as using a regular razor without cuts. I got a tiny Nick just below my lower lip one time from pressing too hard I guess but I've been using it for a couple of weeks and it's been smooth sailing without nicks or leaving any kind of red chafing. Money well spent.

Better Than A Blade Razor
I have always used a blade razor, but recently my doctor put me on blood thinners. After taking blood thinners for a few days, that blade razor tore my face up, so I had no choice but to get an electric razor. I'm not a wealthy man, so I had to find an electric razor recommended for men on blood thinners. The Panasonic Arc5 was reasonbly priced compared to others, so I gave it a try. It does a good job, but I have a very heavy beard and sometimes have to use a blade razor on certain areas of my face to remove stubborn stubble. Otherwise I would have given the Panazonic five stars.

A nice close shave.
A little noisy due to the power of the shaver but a very good shave.
