Great backpack
Really well designed backpack: Well placed pockets and compartments, light, the right amount of back and shoulder support. The shoulder and waist straps were well designed. Sturdy zippers. The waterproof cover is well placed for easy access and handy. Nice accents - looks good too!

Even better than I expected For $40
Even better than I expectedFor $40, I was expecting pretty much something to use for a season and toss, but this thing is awesome! Are the zippers cheap? Yea. Does it have 79 compartments? Nope. But what it does have is everything anyone actually needs. Straps with buckles for a top mount, bottom mount, and two side mounts for bedrolls and such. A rainfly that buckles down hard, I JAMMED that pack full and I still got a solid seal over all my gear inside. When the pack is more empty, like for a day trip, the rainfly has a zippered compartment underneath that you can stash some small things you want to keep extra dry (it stretches accordingly). Two sets of under-mounted loops for hanging light stuff, two small zippered pockets mounted to your stomach strap for easy access to small stuff, a sorta flimsy but adjustable chest strap (but then again this is a backpackers pack so its insanely light). The big pocket at the back is sealed with a pretty cool bungie chord that simply but ingeniously keeps everything inside totally dry (supposedly). So far its very comfortable and was able to hold all of my gear pretty well, and admittledly I only tried one pack configuration so maybe I had some wasted space yet. I would say my only complaint is a lack of places to very simply attach a caribeener. There are plenty of places if you get creative, like at the junction points for the bedroll straps, but a simple row of well-sew nylon loops somewhere would have been nice. But seriously, for this price its fantastic. It feels practically glued to my back when I have all of the straps adjusted properly, I cant wait to try it out on a rocky trail. I'm not sure about long-term comfort, but it feels great on my back even fully loaded, I had at least 35lbs of gear in/on it and it felt very centered on my body, no tendency to fall backward at all.I will test it out and change my review if something comes up, but unless it just falls to pieces in a month I can't imagine a small problem changing my mind

seems like perfectly good backpack. excellent for the money
well designed. zippers seem sturdy.. straps are well placed and appear to be well sewn in. A touch narrower than I'm used to; but, narrow is a typical modern design for climbing backpacks. 4 stars for now, subject to change once i put it through its paces

Great price, cheap materials, but holding up.
This pack was just the right size for my 10 year old son to take backpacking in scouts. It was cheap enough to not worry about what a 10 year old boy will do to equipment out in the wilds of Colorado. It's craftsmanship is high, but the the quality of materials used are pretty minimal. that said it has survived it's first 3 day 20 mile trip unscathed.
