SUPERB 1992 BROADCAST SHOW FROM MOZZER PERFORMED WHILE PROMOTING YOUR ARSENAL ALBUM Recorded for FM Broadcast at the Balch Fieldhouse, part of the University of Colorado in that state s capital city, Boulder on 1st October 1992, this dynamic show by the ex-Smiths man Morrissey was part of his tour to promote his album of earlier the same year, Your Arsenal, released in July. Morrissey s third solo record, Arsenal was praised by critics and adored by fans. Robert Christgau in the Village Voice said of it, It s his most consistent set to date and awarded it an A+ on his ratings web site. His co-compositions with lead guitarist Alain Whyte was particularly praised, while Entertainment USA wrote of Whyte s guitar work on the album, "it provides the very melodic, sometimes rockabilly-inflected settings Morrissey demands, and frequently they end up triumphant." This recording features a number of cuts from his latest release, mixed with a few tracks from his previous records, but without an old Smiths song to be heard anywhere.

Vibrant 1992 classic concert
This white double vinyl is an excellent companion piece to Beethoven Was Deaf. Featuring 15 (but really 16) songs from the triumphant Your Arsenal tour, recorded for Colorado radio. The sound quality is great and you get a hidden track on Side B where they cover Suede's excellent 'My Insatiable One' at the end of 'Such A Little Thing'.One side of each record features the cover image in the center. The vinyls are more white than gray.Having already owned Beethoven Was Deaf on vinyl (and CD) I was hesitant to buy Poetry Hour but am very glad I did. The Colorado concert is cleaner, with less crowd noise, and makes you feel like you are there up front in a small crowd watching Moz and his best solo band line-up. The only bad thing about this record is the title. Surely they could have come up with something better than Poetry Hour.

Classic solo Moz from '92
This CD has been available on bootleg since the heady days of the early 90's. To be honest this is an unofficial release but it is a terrific gig. The sound quality is excellent, from a FM radio broadcast no less. Anybody looking for Mozzer singing Smiths songs will be disappointed but he didn't start to introduce them until 1995, however one plus point is his cover of Suede's 'My Insatiable One' which isn't listed on the cover but is segued from 'Such a Little Thing'.All in all a great live document, a partner to 'Beethoven Was Deaf', not essential if you've still got the 'I'm A Poet' bootleg.

Mozza Mozza Mozza
Excellent companion to Beethoven Was Deaf , a little less raucous than that live cd, this has 15 tracks (16 really as little thing blends into my insatiable one which was a nice surprise) , and has superb sound quality, nicely packaged too. These FM semi unofficial CDs can disappear of the web quickly so grab one if your a fan , it’s rather good IMO, and a nice bonus as I went to see him on this tour shortly after in mighty Birmingham UK

Contains Suede cover version !
1992 Morrissey. Fantastic CD, made an essential purchase for collectors by the inclusion of My Insatiable One, which sort of blends into the end of Such A Little Thing.
