Can I use Dreft Stage 2 for a newborn?

My 7 month old broke out in hives all over his face, head and body when I switched. Going back to Stage 1. Don’t recommend switching to Stage 2.

Did they change the scent back to the original or no?

Our Dreft Pure Gentleness is a fragrance-free, plant-based version of our base Dreft product and has the same gentle cleaning as the Dreft you already use. You can wash your family’s clothes in this for a fragrance-free finish. You can also add back in the scent of our last generation scent by using Dreft Blissfuls Scent Boosters. Excellent laundry detergent for baby clothes!

The Dreft liquid laundry detergent has worked great for me. It cleans my baby's clothes very well, removes everyday stains, and leaves the clothes with a soft, pleasant scent that isn't overpowering. It's also gentle on fabrics and hasn't caused any irritation to my baby's sensitive skin. A small amount is enough for each load, so it lasts a long time.
