Great case
Almost as good as a LifeProof case. But the price makes it better. Highly recommended.

Outstanding Case
I've had this type of case of the last three phones I've owned, including on my current iPhone Pro Max, and to date, all of them have been protected extremely well. I love the built in screen protector. I've read a couple of reviews that indicated this feature reduced the sensitivity of some touch screens. This has not been my experience on any of my phones. In fact, the touch is so light there are time I inadvertently unlock the phone. The bumper has rubber covers for the volume and side buttons and they are extremely easy to manipulate. The silence button has a flip down cover protecting it. I do have a hard time getting in there to activate silent mode but I also have pretty large fingers. The charge port also has a flip down cover that keeps dust bunnies and lint out of the workings. On my previous two phones I've dropped them on concrete with absolutely no damage to the screens. In fact, I just traded up from the XS Max and I got more for trade in value than quoted because the phone was so pristine... no broken screens, no scratches, no dents, etc... I don't think any case can totally protect a phone because all it takes is for it to fall at the just the right angle and things will break. Overall, however, I keep buying this case because of all the cases I've owned this does the best job of protecting a rather costly bit of kit from the inevitable drops and dings that handheld gear gets. I highly recommend this product.

High Speed Bailout
High speed bail outWhile at the gas station I put my iphone face down on the bed rail of my truck. I finished doing what I was doing hopped in my pickup and took off down the road. Little did I realize, I left the phone on the bed rail. About the time I got up to 60mph I realize the phone is still on the bedrail. I looked out the back window of the cab, and I see the phone still there. I gently pressed the breaks and started to pull over. Between 50-55mph it appeared the phone decided to bail off the side of the truck, not fall off, bail off! I jam the breaks, and see the phone in my rear view mirror bounce 2 different times, the second one, launching the phone above the truck flipping the phone at mach 1 out of sight. I finally stop and run back to where I believe to find the remains of my iphone on the highway. There's my phone, face down, in the middle of the highway in an intact Beetle Pro Rugged Case. I'm expecting to grab my phone and find a shattered screen....its completely intact without a scratch; I'm shocked. I'm now expecting to find the internals of the phone will not work with that kind of g-force the phone went through. I press the home screen, it turns on, face ID works, the phone opens, and everything worked liked nothing ever happened. This was 4 months ago and my phone still works fine. I did get a new case for it since one of the corners cracked, but that was it! I'll never buy another brand of case again.

3 year review updated. Will buy again. Good bang for the buck
(UPDATE) 3 years later, about to buy another one & here's why. 1st off it sucks that I need to buy another one but for the money, this is one of the best I can find with the features that I like. The main reason why I need to replace it is because the 2nd layer rubber exterior case has broken down little by little meaning it's weak, brittle and literally falling apart into little chunks in certain spots which sucks. It will not properly fit into the belt holster anymore which I use everyday so I need to replace it. I believe if I were't on a tropical island, it wouldn't be so bad. The weather here is brutal on many materials. There are several reasons why I chose to buy another and here goes, other than the rubber breaking down, it's a sturdy case for the money, the belt clip has taken a lot of abuse that normally would have broke it like on my old otterboxes, the thin plastic cover over the screen has held up well over the years, the kick stand is still intact and works fine on landscape mode and not too bad on portrait mode. The charging port cutout is big enough to accommodate an L style cable which helps with the DJI osmo compatibility The price is fair even 3 years later. I like the idea of having extra parts like belt clip and 1st layer plastic case from the last purchase incase I need them. I'll keep my 4 star review due to price & value, continued kickstand functionality, durability other than rubberps, I'd be willing to pay more if this case also had a stronger updated kickstand, a locking belt clip as an extra kickstand, and a sliding mechanism that covers/protects the camera lens.(UPDATE) 9 months later and it's still doing great. I've dropped it many times. The paint is chipping a little bit on the front but its not bad considering the abuse I put my phone through. The back looks really good. I'm very glad I bought this. The slider helps as a way to hold the phone and is nice when I want to watch videos.I would give this case 5 stars if it covered the lens. I like it a lot though, especially for the money. I'm a Otterbox lover, haven't bought anything else in a very long time so thats partially what I'm comparing it too.Upsides -•Feels super strong and sturdy.•I like that if you take off the rubber housing, the max still fits in the osmo 3 mobile and also my manfrotto phone tripod mount.•I love the color, looks nice in the light.•Price is fair•Slider stand is cool•belt clip includedDownsides -• No camera cover.• The belt clip does not lock (open) in place like the otter box clip does but it will still lean in the belt case if you place it on the side where you place your thumb to release. See pic• As much as I like this case, I might not continue to use it if I find one with a slider cover for the cameras. This is a very expensive phone so I might want to cover those cams up. (update) can't find one with a camera lens slider cover with similar features.• It's a big case so done buy if you're trying to keep a slim profile.•I agree with other peoples gripes about having a hard time to open the slider on the back of the case but it's not something I would take a star away over. I am curious about how long it will hold up for though.Overall - great case and bang for the buck
