Works for what I wanted.
This pot was just what I expected. Durability and value area both a pulse.. I have had mine for a year. I use it to heat water for tea. It looks expensive but not. I have noticed it looks a little stained after using this log but easy clean up.

False advertising - Water DOES come into contact with plastic!!
I bought this kettle specifically because it was advertised as completely stainless steel inside, so that water boiled in it would not come into contact with anything plastic.I tried it out and immediately saw those claims were not true.Proof is in the product photos uploaded by the seller and the other customers - if you look closely.I will also upload my own photos clearly showing the design flaw. The hinge attaching the lid to the rest of the kettle is made of black plastic and it takes up about 1/4th of the lid. The rest of the lid appears to be stainless steel. But when the lid is closed, approximately 1 inch of the length of that black plastic part sits directly above the boiling water, and collects condensed steam. The water on the underside of the lid tends to sit there for a while (marinating in all that hot plastic goodness) before dripping down into the rest of the water. If it doesn't drip down, well, next time you open the lid to refill the kettle, gravity pulls that water down and it gets pooled into the water you're about to drink. Even if you didn't open the lid, the next time you boil water in that kettle, more steam will collect on the lid until enough of it pools to drip down or until the lid is next opened.Hot water sitting in direct contact with plastic for extended periods of time is probably not something you want in your beverage.I've tried to upload photos making it clear that the stainless steel part of the lid does not span the entirety of the kettle opening. I included measurements with a ruler and a tape measure for clarity. I also included one photo of the open lid with steam condensed on the black plastic part. This is frustrating and disappointing because simply testing the kettle once would have been enough for the sellers to realize their claims aren't true, so I'm not entirely sure the sellers weren't already aware of this flaw and therefore aware that they were falsely advertising. Now I have to spend time repacking this item, printing a label, and dropping it off at a UPS store, then purchase a different kettle and wait several days for that one to arrive. It seems that this is an issue with a lot of kettles (including the Amazon Basics one I am replacing) - the difference is that most of the others don't lie about the water not coming into contact with plastic. After searching through several pages on Amazon for a kettle that would provide a truly plastic-less hot water experience, I suspect that the only kettles available are the ones where the underside of the lid is completely stainless steel, and those tend to be the ones where the lid comes off entirely (as opposed to being attached via a hinge mechanism.)

Very useful.
Have had this about 4 months and it has worked as it should. It heats or boils water and turns itself off a short time after water reaches boiling point. I have been using french coffee press or instant coffee lately and this gets the water hot vert quickly even at max fill. Blue light on when heating and goes off when done. Very useful.I have no idea how long it will continue to work. Most inexpensive products like this don't last too long.

Best kettle on Amazon
Had this for quite a while, always worked perfectly until a lady friend came over and dropped it right on the power button. I considered other options, but ultimately this one is the best designed and very reasonably priced, so ordered a 2nd one.
