Well I am an older (way old) scooter rider and was debating on getting protection for riding. It is just a scooter right? But decided to get this JBM set with Pads . Well It was well worth it. I was waiting to cross at a crosswalk and cars started to stop to let me cross. Nice of them Well I push off on the scooter and pulled back on the handlebars and accelerated. And then waved to say thank you to the car that stopped and Bam! I went down. #1 rule with scooters is keep both hands on the Handle bars. I knew that but still did it. I was wearing the JBM Helmet, elbow pads, Knee pads and wrist protection. I can tell you they worked like a champ . My head hit he asphalt and the helmet saved my head. Just a scratch on the helmet. And I was wearing shorts and those JBM elbow, knee and wrist pads worked perfectly. All the scuffs were on the Pads and not my skin. I highly recommend using protection for scooter riding and JBM is a great choice for protection. Thank you JBM!

The pads and helmet fit, everything was comfortable and durable. It protects as it is designed to do. I would not recommend for the skatepark since it does not have enough padding for impact falls. However, they are good for skids and collisions. I think they are the top budget pads; but I recommend better quality for aggressive inline skating and skateboarding. They are fine for flat riding on scooters, skates, etc.

Are you just now trying to skate in your 30s? Want to stay in one peace? want to fall down and get cool scratches on your gear? As someone that has fallen down in these I SWEAR by them. I fall down and dont feel a thing that is protected. If you are an adult, get the largest size and do some research before skating.. found out I wore the wrist guards upside down the first time and I could have gotten very hurt. You are going to fall as a skater, these help you stay protected and keep you going. Skate on my brothers and sisters.
