Good Battery Monitor
Very happy with it's performance! Would buy it again.

So much better than the others I had! BUY THIS ONE!
Just a backgroud. I had purchase 2 of the L**X brand, the full color version. Looked great. But the menu was no longer the one that they have now. It seems there are 3 versions and no one has the one I had. They never tid work based on extensive instructions from the selle. FAST FORWARD TO RENOGY! EXCELLENT ALL THE WAY AROUND! For the two I had, I swapped out thee shunt, did a little rewirie to clean up the backup battery setup, connecte dthe Renogy and it powered on. The default Ah is 100 and that's what I have. All set up with nothing else to do! Aftre about 15 hours of work on the others with no results, I am AMAZED. Now THIS is how you do it. I did the soemwhat more difficult replacement in my ham radio portable kit (inside a rack-mount case, where the shelves have to be removed). Replacing the shunt and everything else wasn't as easy, that not due to Renogy; my setup is compact and under layers and it is hard to get to things inside. But for making the mounting plate to replace the smaller piece I had, I just plugged in tin and there it was! Set the capacity (will need to redo after a full charge and there, right in the menu was an easy setting for the Ah, which took moments. Everything works as it is supposed to and all very easy. Almost sets itself up once installed and powered Love my Renogy suitcase panels and these are completely excellent. The screen, when off, is a dim grayscale, but draws no current at all somehow. Looks fine in the light. The green screen wout be nice in high contrast plack and white or full color, but I only mention this to my low vision. I can do without the nice screen for this easy setup and bigger screen. BUY THS IS YOU NEED A MOINITOR (OR TWO OR THREEE!)

Easy to understand instructions
Just finished installation in our RV. Would suggest Renogy consider a WiFi solution for remote access to monitor your batteries remotely. Ours is in storage many months and would like to have the convenience factor! Other than that running the monitor wire took the majority of time, just because it’s labor intensive! Installation was straightforward and a piece of cake…not only that but it worked the first time!!!!

Very good option for most battery builds
Nice design. Well packaged. Clear instructions. Simple interface. Good screen layout. Adjustable backlight. Good screen contrast. The shunt is factory calibrated by filing on the edge of the resistive element. This was expected. But compared to my calibrated current meter it is off by about -10%. Meaning it reads current levels about 10% lower amplitude than actual. It is symetric around 0 though, so charging and discharging % is correct as long as the battery capacity is derated by 10% also. And since it is -10% that means I could file it some more to bring it in to spec. But I decided to just leave it as is. My old setup used a hall sensor which was very accurate in the charging polarity, but as I eventually discovered it was way off in the discharging polarity. Having a symetric current sensor is much more important than having a perfectly accurate current sensor. According to the box there is a 350A model available which would have been better for my application, but I could not find that version for sale. My only gripe is that I wish there was an alarm output. Something that changes state when the low voltage alarm is active.

Might be a bit technical to install.
I like this to monitor my battery. A bit technical so if you’re not a geek like me you might want to get a geek friend to help. We all have one. We’re good guys you know.

Accurate and dependable
This meter is much more accurate than my Bluetooth app that came with EG4 WP 48V-100Ah battery, which only updates every 5 seconds and doesn’t tell you that they “hold back15% of the battery capacity. It’s got variable illumination modes and every metric is configurable…though it’s a little too easy to hold the up arrow and reset battery meter in the middle of your cycle. The other reviews are correct that the + wire to the battery is tiny and the hole in the shunt seems tiny-er…it will eventually fit if you have patience and make sure the set screw is backed ALL THE WAY OUT (keeeeep turning). It’s best to do this part first, before you mount everything so you can get to, and still see, the tine hole. Also, the posts on the 500Amp version are enormous so get ready to buy some huge ring terminals to fit as all load has to pull through the shunt so you’ll want to combine several load wires per connector. Also, they don’t tell you but you’ll need some big power wire as it’s not included (see pics-I had an old winch power wire that I cut to fit). I would definitely purchase again.

Be in the know! At a glance!
Great! It tells you in and out wattage and voltage really nice to see what the sun is doing and how you’re using it. And how long you can use it. That’s a big one! And how long to charge it. easy to install I like it

Must have!
Ran out of battery in my RV on a cold night. Bought 2 x 300A Lithium batteries plus this monitor. It was awesome to keep track of what was using how much power and how much the solar was being generated. I was able to show my kid how to read it and understand how are usage adds up. A must have for off grid!

Works great for me applications, boat and rv with this you control your battery power accurate, what is going out, and what is coming in

What did I like ? - the fact that everything you need comes in the kit. Wire(s), shunt, gauge just plug and play. It’s easy, then it all comes alive. Great ! 👍😊

This is a great product to monitor your battery levels and consumption of power. I can tell what each item is drawing for power as I turn it on and how many hours I can run without dropping batteries below 50%. It was easy to install. Love the fact that it also tells me what my charge rate is from my solar panels and how long it will take to bring my batteries back to full charge. It does not actually measure the amount of amps you have left in your batteries. This is something that you set in the parameters of the unit. If you using a deep cycle battery then you should set it for half of the total amp hours supplied by the battery as you do not want to drain your batteries below 50% if possible as this will reduce the life span of your batteries. The only reason I give it 4 stars is that the monitor is not the best quality and has restricted mounting features. I would recommend this product.
