This thing is great! Very cost effective! I pick it over my more expensive knockoff! Things I like: it turn on and off with a quick single press of the button. zero wait time for it to balance or prepare. It is not super sensitive but works consistently, about 1.5 inches for a ring or coin. Sometimes I wish it was more powerful, but then it would make this much more complicated and not as precise. I use this alongside another pinpointer that has a depth range, which makes that one need to balance before being put to the ground and takes 3 seconds to shut off. If I can't find it with my main pinpointer (this one), I goto that backup with depth which goes about double the depth but is not as fast to respond to targets in the dirt! Pick this one for speed! I have been using this for 3 years! The size and shape make it easy to fit in most holsters and narrow pants pockets! Super lightweight as well. It's not the high end Cadillac of pinpointers, but it does work efficiently.

I needed to verify the boundary lines on my property, and also help my neighbor who wanted to put in a small fence for her dog. I found this item reliable, and I had read the reviews. It was easy to use and it came with a holster for carrying it around. Using a plot map and this tool, we were able to establish where the property lines were. As long as stakes are in the ground, it is useful. If in doubt, consult a surveyor to be sure.

It will be good for checking my wood for nails. I used it to find a list piece of gold in my shrubs. Not dynamic range, for short distances. Still very nice.

I Love it. It feels good in your hand and wanted it waterproof since I Scuba Dive. I found it useful even in the finding a stud in the wall to hang a picture by the Nails. Thank You for offering this product

All the detectorists who have been at it awhile tout the other, expensive pinpointer as the one to buy. I’m on a fixed income, and this was more in my price range. I LOVE IT! I’ve used it on the beach, in the water, and in the woods. It has performed extremely well! And on one 9-volt battery since March; but my hunting trips are much shorter than average. This pinpointer is an excellent first tool.

I bought this with the expectation that I might need to send it back for not meeting my needs. Why, you might ask? Because I bought it as a tool to help my main metal detector pinpoint the location of gold nuggets. Gold nuggets, especially small ones, are typically difficult to detect with cheap detectors, so I wasn’t expecting much. I was very surprised and happy when I put it close to one of my small nuggets at home and it started to emit a tone. I gave it an even harder task when I ran a vial of small gold flakes across the tip, yet it surprised me again with a tone. It appears that it will most likely suit my needs. I am very happy that I didn’t have to buy the (many times more expensive) name brand alternative. Now I just need to put it to the test “in the field” and see if it detects small nuggets in situ!

This unit actually works slightly better than I’d expected. You can draw it along the (timer in my case) material on its side. Or, use the tip as a directional search, and it’s fairly sensitive. You do get fairly regular false readings that you need to, just momentarily, move the detector away from the work you are scanning, but overall I’ve been very pleased with this tool to date.

Didnt pick up Gold, or Silver, just junk metal. if you want a pinpointer thatll pick up scrap metal then this is for you.. but if you want to find anything of value, id highly recommend looking elsewhere.

Use primarily to find sling shot ammo for reuse. These targets are shallow so can’t comment on depth performance as yet Was impressed by ability to accurately discriminate between nickel dime and quarter, even though they were just sitting on the deck. Purchased with pinpointed … a must have with this product Hope to get to a creek … no comment on underwater performance
