Good quality organic figs at a good price
These figs arrived in good condition - I transferred all 5 pounds of them into glass jars for better storage, so I inspected them all - though I will grant that the appearance of these figs is not as uniform and elegant as some other brands that sell for twice the price or more. But since I am buying these figs for my own consumption, and not to impress my guests or create the perfect Instagram photo, I really don't care if some figs are lighter or fatter than others. I found the figs quite tasty - perhaps not quite up to the standard set by the fancy high end brands, but perfectly acceptable for what they are, which is reasonably priced, good quality organic figs. Buying them in a 5-pound bag means it will be a while before I buy more, but I will definitely buy more.

exquisite figs!
We love these figs, enough so that I ordered for the third time recently - 5# each time. These taste firm, sweet, a bit chewy, all exactly what a dried fig should taste like. Yes, there are a few "brownies" that are tough to chew, fair enough, but we eat them anyway. These haven't lasted long enough in our household to test them for longevity in their sealed bag...but the big plan should they last too long is simply to freeze them and make jam of them...so no worries, we can do that, too! All in all, an excellent product at a goodish, fair price. Iโve ordered two bags so far. Both batches were wonderful - soft, chewy and perfectly sweet and crunchy. They go really fast - my whole family loves them.

Dried & Spoiled
Dried & Half Were Spoiled. I love this company and buy my organic dates from them regularly. The dried figs got pretty good reviews so I thought I would give them a try, but there needs to be an improvement on quality control. What I received was dried and half spoiled dried figs.

Delicious and Good Quality
I was a little worried because of some of the reviews. But these were pretty good. You have to open the package, shake them around a bit and let them air out. Then keep them in a dry pantry and not in the fridge. But closed up so that the fruit flies don't find them. I also start by eating the nastiest looking ones first and working my way up to the better ones. But even the few that look spoiled are just more sugary. I have not gotten any that were rotten or moldy - and sometimes dried figs just look like they were transported in a leather satchel by camel across the desert - but they are okay for eating and recipes. I like Calimyrna figs to be somewhat tough and chewy, but not dried out. I have only found them that way at some isolated delicatessens. It's a crap shoot when you order them online. But the Anna & Sarah brand has proved to be pretty good (actually the best I have gotten online) and I have ordered them several times on Amazon.
