Reviewing Transformers Playskool Heroes Rescue Bots Optimus Prime 4.5 inch action figure. Just like the other Transformers Rescue Bots: Griffin Rock Team (Amazon Exclusive) set and Bumblebee, Optimus Prime is an excellent, well made toy that is a true easy one step transformer. Once we showed my 3 year old grandson how to change from robot to vehicle and back again he quickly ran to add it to his set. He’s played with them everyday since Christmas. These are all sturdy toys and the sizes are perfect for smaller hands.

We love this very sturdy version of Optimus Prime. He is a favorite of a very active 5 year old boy. Optimus has survived flying off the playground slide and all the rough play that happens with a typical kid. He still looks new after a year of heavy play.

I think the reviewers who commented on the small size of this toy are comparing it to the larger line of Rescue Bots toys. The only ones we have are the same size as this one, about six inches tall/long. They are a totally fine size for my two year old. Mine also came in a box, not store packaging but completely fine to wrap as a gift (and way easier to get out of the package!). Out of all the Rescue Bots this one is my two year old's favorite toy, both because it's Prime, and because it's super easy to transform and looks pretty cool. Of course Optimus Prime is not supposed to transform into a tow truck, and my 7 year old was outraged by this creative liberty, but the little guy thinks it's the best thing EVER. We also have the other regular Prime Rescue Bot that tranaforms into a flatbed (no trailer) and that one doesn't stay transformed as well. This one is a winner for us.

My 4 year old nephew loved it and had a lot of fun, so that's what's most important to me.In terms of quality. it seems very stable but the wheels aren't the best.As a Transformer, it's a great toy for toddlers. The transforming function is very easy to do, even for toddlers if you show them how it works.As a truck, it doesn't really roll. It just slid across the hardwood floor as the wheels didn't really rotate very well. I noticed him using it more in robot mode than truck mode.

Really well made and durable. It has been almost a year since I bought this this for my son and it is still in very good condition. He does not play gently with it either. I really am happy with this purchase.

My grandson loves this character from transformers. He has been playing with us for two weeks now every single day and he’s not gentle with his toys. This toy has held up and he loves it and that makes me happy.

I think this figure is very disappointing. It was much smaller than expected -- the product pictures do not do it justice for proportions. It is also of a cheap quality plastic. The item is definitely worth about half of what it retailed for. However, my four year old son loves it, and they are inseparable. He picked it himself as a sticker chart prize and thinks that it is awesome. It is also relatively easy to transform. He did comment that it is missing some type of exhaust-pipe detail from his shoulders, so it doesn't match the cartoon.
