Great Lather
I purchased this shaving soap for my son. After use he said it was the best he had ever used. It lathered very well and the suds did not disappear, they lasted through entire shave. Plus it has a great scent.

Great Soap for Wet Shaving
For those who are interested in Wet Shaving, let me give you a little background. In the Army I discovered that my Curly hair extended to my facial hair. When I used two or more blades, the hairs would sometimes get stuck under the skin, growing and creating sores that suck big time. I tried electric razors and had the same experience. Then a friend turned me on to “Wet Shaving”. The old fashioned Safety Razors of my Grandfathers era. I was dubious, and after a couple weeks razor bump free I was a convert.Wet Shaving is a little more time consuming. I’ve tried other Shaving Soaps. They are all reasonably OK, but this one lets you start at the beginning properly. First, you get a bowl or mug for your soap. You start by gently heating a pot of water, and put the bowl or mug in the water with the soap. The soap should melt, and become bonded to the bowl when cooled. This makes working up a later much easier with the brush, and you aren’t chasing the soap around the mug hoping the soap residue will hold it. This stuff melts well, bonds well, and works up a lovely lather. Everything a shaving soap is supposed to do.It’s my preferred brand, and I have tried others, but Cavendish is the best all around from my experience.

Patience with the lather
I’ve used this product over the last few days. On day one and two, I would have rated this product with one star and was ready to toss it. On day three, I took more time to lather the soap. Lathered a bit in the bowl and then really spent time with the brush on my face working the lather. It made a huge difference. I feel like this is a good product, but it requires more patience than some of the other great brands I’ve used. And, that makes it slightly inconvenient which is the reason for 4 stars. Good smell, decent feel, it does dry out a bit, but overall it’s a good product.

The best shaving soap
This soap provides better suds to lather on than any other I’ve found. I’m done trying any others and will continue to use Cavendish from now on.

Good smell
This stuff smells great and is easy to lather up. Smells like a cologne. I have bought other brands but they all smell like shaving cream or old nursing home. This is something that smells really good.

Rich and creamy
This is twice as thick as the classic Williams shaving puck. It produces a rich, creamy lather that stays on your face until the end of your shave. It is just the perfect fit for my Williams commemorative US Bicentennial pewter mug. It's a good value because it is gonna give me a hundred good shaves.

Mixed
The shaving order was great. No problems. However I ordered a box of Peet Coffee that came to the post office with postage due of 18.40. Never had that happen before. I thought because we were Prime those kind of charges didn't apply
