This worked after one application. It’s best to leave in at night as recommended on the instructions and shower in the morning. It discarded all odour and discomfort. Very happy and would recommend for any female. The instructions made it easy to follow and it gave me lots of relief. Great value for money. It was packaged well and discreetly. It arrived fast.

I've suffered with what I think has been BV since as long as I can remember, I've never been to the Dr's about it I've always just got on with it. After research I tried these. Easy to use. After the 1st one, the next day I had no smell, and no discharge. I was honestly amazed! I haven't had dry knickers for absolute years (maybe 10-13 years)I normally go through knickers a few times a day or I wear a liner ALL the time, as for smell I've always thought I've had a smell alon side the discharge. On the 2nd day, again same as the 1st. Amazing! But on the 3rd and 4th day I'm 99% sure I now have a pretty nasty case of thrush (I've had thrush before so I remember the symptoms well), I'm really itchy, swollen, and the discharge is back along with a smell. I decided to stop taking them after the 4th day, I'm gonna wait till it clears up, and in a few weeks I'll just take 2 days worth again, as the 2 days worked amazingly. So for me, I wouldn't take 7 days worth, I will buy another pack and just take the odd 1 or 2, rather than a full course, whenever I'm a bit off again. So yeah, amazing stuff they do work. Maybe I just got thrush coincidentally whilst taking this course, it is possible. But I'm not chancing it again in future, just 1 or 2 will do me fine. P.S the pill is shaped like a bullet and it looks like its a soap kind of texture. The packaging the pill was in was difficult to remove without the pill flying out of it lol, so be careful on opening! Good luck those trying, I hope you get results and feel amazing!

This product is one of a number of treatments I use to stay healthy "down there". It is effective in treating mild cases of BV, but other things must be taken into consideration. I particularly like this product as it is not messy, unlike the gels that are available. I do not wake up in the morning with damp underwear and pjs when using this. Firstly, for those who experience burning and stinging when using this should not immediately jump to the conclusion that they are allergic to the ingredients. Do a wrist test to find out for certain (rub one of the pessaries on your wrist and look for a reaction. If nothing happens, you are not intollerant to the pessary). If the intollerance test is negative then the stinging is caused by one of two things (or perhaps both): vaginal atrophy or thrush. (I know this from personal experience - I too experienced stinging when first using this product.) If it is thrush, treat it with a Canesten pessary before taking this treatment. One advantage to this is that Canesten provide a pessary applicator with their thrush treatment, which can be used to insert these pessaries too. (Wash it well after each use and dry with a pipe cleaner). The second advantage is that the thrush treatment is much quicker, taking only one pessary which works over three days to clear the thrush. Then the BV treatment can commence. If this product still stings after treating thrush, ask your doctor to examine you for vaginal atrophy, as this will also cause a burning sensation when using this product. The doctor will recommend treatment for that, which will probably be estradiol (a micro dose of oestrogen), but Balance Activ also make a moisture pessary that will treat it too, although that may also sting on initial application until the internal moisture levels increase. I prefer to use estradiol, as it does not sting and comes in it's own pre-filled applicator. I previously tried to avoid the oestrogen option, but it really is the best as it enables your own body to produce the necessary moisture, rather than introducing a synthetic, unnatural moisture to that sensitive area. It does take between 8 to 12 weeks for the estradiol to really take effect, so the pessaries are a good option to use in the interim. Lastly, take a probiotic every day that is specifically designed for the intimate area. Optibac For Women is an oral capsule which is very effective, and Cannesflor is a probiotic pessary which is inserted in the vagina. Though this is not taken long term, but over 10 days, to get the bacteria levels up. So, in conclusion, this product is one of several that may be necessary in order to achieve good health. It plays it's part as one of multiple treatments that may be necessary.

Just finished using these. I have been suffering from what I believe is BV for a couple of weeks. I had itchiness, coupled with a bad smell and light discharge. I am not keen on the plastic tubes of liquid that you squirt inside. I noticed these pessaries and they looked just the job. On arrival, I found the box easy to open, but packet of pessaries themselves were quite difficult to get into. The foil packaging is quite annoying to peel apart to release the pessary. I found the pessaries themselves very easy and mess free to insert at night. Sounds weird but they are quite small, smooth, and are the texture of a bar of soap. They seemed a lot less messy than the tubes you can buy, however I did feel a warming sensation as they dissolved through the night. Nothing uncomfortable for me. I do wish they came with applicators (like canestan) but I’m aware this would probably be seen as a waste of plastic. I just washed my hands and used my fingertips to insert it as high as it would go. 7 days on…while it stopped the smell and discharge a bit, and I didn’t suffer any irritation when using like some others, I am still suffering from a bit of a smell and itchiness. So I am going to go to the doctor and wouldn’t rate these as that effective. Two stars off for lack of effectiveness and difficult to open packaging.
