Good budget subwoofer, I doubt you will do better at this price point. Looks great. Not terribly efficient but it does not need to be in my application. It was used to replace the OEM driver in an old Advent home theater subwoofer. Size was the same as original. Bass is a lot tighter than the original, sounds a lot better.

Bought October Prime Day 2024 for $36. Installed in Atrend sealed box, 13.5"^3. Powered by RF Prime 500W amp, LPF 15 hz, HPF 70 Hz, no boost, gain dialed in correctly. Played Skrillex Linkin Park and 3DG, this sub sounded strong and deep. Has a good sized magnet on back, a lot bigger than some others at same price point. Surround size is decent, and is made of foam, which I actaully prefer for its SQ dampening qualities (similar to my Boston G3 and JL W6). Quality push terminals for speaker wire. I only bought because I was moving my old Boston G3 to a larger box. Needed something cheap to swap into the old box to fasilitate selling it on FB marketplace (sold in 1 day). Only negative was UPS shipping, the guy straight up dropped the box from standing, sounded like someone kicked the door. Amazon box was just an outer cardboard box, no padding, but the sub was packed very well by Kenwood in its stock box, so no damage at all.

Although I am a big Kenwood fan as I have all Kenwood speakers as well as a Kenwood Amp in my Pontiac G8, this was by far one of the worst purchases I have ever made. Not only did it last just over 30 days, (33) I spent hours trying to get it tuned once the breakin period was done. Although it would sound decent at times, there was always something just off with it. And multiple other people agreed/took a look at it as well. I had the correct setup/amp/knowledge but it didn't seem to matter with this guy. Maybe I received a defective one, but I have a feeling it was more along the lines of, "You get what you pay for"

I have two of these in the back of my 2020 2-door Wrangler, and you really can’t beat them for the price. If you sit in the back, you can barely breathe on a few songs! I’m running them off an old-school Rockford amp, and they hit hard for budget subs.
