I owned this toaster previously for many years until it broke. Ordered a new one and it was smoking and broke after a few uses. Easy return and replacement and this one seems great. Big enough for larger slices, even toasting even with one slice. Super cute.

This toaster looks even better in person than it does online. I love the black polka dot design, it adds a fun touch to my kitchen without looking too busy. I’ve been using it daily for bagels and toast, and it heats evenly and works exactly as expected. The controls are simple to use, and the slots are large enough for thicker slices of bread. What I appreciate most is that it’s both functional and decorative. It sits on my countertop full-time and actually complements my kitchen décor instead of looking like just another appliance. If you’re looking for a toaster that works well and adds a little personality to your kitchen, this one is a great choice. I’ve received several compliments on it already.

First off, I love the colour (yellow) on this and was glad to find it a bit cheaper than the other colours. As others reported, there was a bit of an odor on the first couple uses, but that's gone now. Also, I burned the first two pieces of toast, but I expect that's about normal. I did think that the slots would be a bit longer. Slots are wide enough for bagels, to be sure, but should be a bit longer to accommodate breads like Pumpernickel and Rye. It's also a tad bigger than my last toaster was, but still fits in the designated 'toaster' area. Not compact by my view, but still probably smaller than a lot of toasters out there. My last toaster lasted thirty years, so I'll be happy if this makes it half that long.

I love the toaster. It’s a very pleasing pale pink color and has a lot of spunk. Sometimes it spits my toast right out into the counter, but I find this amusing, if not endearing. Settings are perfect too. 1 for warm, 2 for toast, 3 if you’re doing a frozen waffle. Love it.

Will give 5 stars once I use it on food. The box? Adorable. Packaging? Safe. I turned it on to make sure it worked right out the box, and the SMELLLLLLLL that came off the burners. Whatever was on it burning off smelled so chemically. Definitely turn it on and let it go for a minute or two before putting food in there. Otherwise I love it. Matches my kitchen perfectly.

Original review (3 stars) I love the toaster and how it looks, but there's a really strong plastic-y smell that is really lingering around. The notes that came with the toaster said it should go away after a couple of uses, but I've probably used it 10-15 times and it still smells like burning whenever I use it. I followed all the instructions properly and I'm hoping it'll go away with time. UPDATE: It's been 4 months and there's still a lingering plastic smell every time I use it, though it's less strong than it was initially. My main problem with the toaster is that the toasting is WILDLY uneven, and it can change even between individual back to back uses. For example, I toasted 2 pieces of bread, which both burned, and then toasted two more without changing a single setting, and they both came out barely toasted at all. Bagels get almost immediately burned, even at the lower settings, and for toasting most things I end up standing over it trying to catch things before they burn, even when toasting on level 2. It's honestly a bit ridiculous. Also, if items are lighter, like some breads or toaster waffles, the toaster shoots them out so hard they fall on the floor/counter. Overall the toaster looks incredibly cute but I'm REALLY dissatisfied with how it actually functions. I had higher hopes from Kate Spade, especially for the price.

I was worried about buying this toaster because of all the reviews with the smell when toasting. No issues at all. No smells. Just a good toaster and cute as well! Would buy again

I purchased this toaster as a gift. I haven’t tried it but they told me if they were to rate it they would give it 5 stars. It looks really nice but that is all I know.
